In this short book that takes place in the 1880s, monsters who take the appearance of oversized wolves take over the planet in hopes to eliminate the human race. Can a young soldier, her team, and their illegal captain find out how their rival city is controlling the monsters that rule the planet? Warnings: Gore, violence, drug use, war, and suicide. Just a friendly reminder that a lot of the characters in this book series have had not good pasts and suffer from them their later years. This book, however, does not include sexual content and curse words. Here's just a few notes to clear up any confusion. This book series takes place in the 1880s and 1890s, yet they have advanced technology. I do not really consider their world to be the same as our world. This book is supposed to be what would've happened if there was an apocalypse in that time, and because of the apocalypse they had more advanced technology. They still don't have cars, but by advanced technology I mean tanks, advanced guns, advanced vaccines, and more. This is just to make the book more interesting. Their technology advanced quicker than usual because of the fight to survive. This is just a disclaimer because I didn't want people saying that this book isn't historically accurate with technology and such. Thank you! Arizza Mendoza is a famous author because of her wonderful and out-of-this-world creations. Her novels inspired a lot of people, and that's why she is famous. One day, she visited her grandmother in her province because she lives alone there since her children already have their own lives, including her father. Her grandmother always told a story about her grandmother, who had the most tragic love story she could've ever heard. It happened a hundred years ago, and I was shocked that Consuelo, her great grandmother, looked exactly like her. Consuelo's diary still exists in their home, so everyone in her family knows about her stories and her experience as a Filipino messenger at that time. Consuelo Ortega is the older sister of Felicidad Ortega, who's the grandmother of Corazon Mendoza, the grandmother of Arizza. Because of Felicidad's love for her sister, she kept all her things after she died because she had nothing left but her sister since all of their family died in the war and only Consuelo and Felicidad survived. Arizza became more interested in Consuelo's life and its great love, who was named Felipe Montemayor. Because every time she hears its name, it feels like she knew that guy before. She believed that one day, she will meet the current Felipe in her era, and found an answer of it's disappearance.
