Quick A/N 3-28-20 ~ It's been a while and I hope you are all doing great! With school being cancelled for the time being, I have decided to rewrite this book. I hope you guys accompany me on this journey and enjoy this new and improved version!
In the Arandelle kingdom everyone was grieving the death of the dearly loved Queen Iduna and King Agnarr. This tragic event affected their two daughters; Elsa and Anna more than anyone. Regardless of what was going on, the kingdom needed a new ruler and the next in line was Elsa. Anna knew she was taking their parents death very hard and seemed depressed.
"Elsa, can I come in?" Anna asks while knocking on her sisters door.
"Yes." Elsa manages to say barely loud enough for Anna to hear.
Anna walks into her older sisters room and sees her by the window still in her nightgown. She approaches Elsa and sits next to her.
"Prince Jack is coming today remember? You should start getting ready."
Elsa turns to look at her sister with watery eyes. "I don't know if I can do this Anna."
Anna takes her sisters hands into her own and gets closer to her. "Elsa, I know its hard but we have to continue living our lives."
Elsa nods her head and walks into her closet and picks a dress. She quickly gets ready and watches her reflection in the mirror. Not long after her sister hugs her from behind.
"I promise things will get better from now on."
Their conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. Elsa opens the door and sees Prince Jack. He stood there in a polished suit with his platinum hair combed back and a gorgeous smile. He kisses her cheek and hugs her tightly, then moves on to greet Anna with a hug. Seeing them get along made Elsa realize she couldn't be any luckier to have the fiancee she has. He is respectful and has a kind heart. During these tough times he was very supportive and never failed to find a way to make her feel better. With all this said, why didn't her heart feel anything romantic towards him? She tried so hard, oh how she tried but she could never love him. This matter always made her feel bad and hate herself a little bit. Nevertheless, her parents choose him and she would respect their last wish.
"It's a lovely day for a stroll. Why don't you join us Anna?" Jack questions with his charming smile.
"Thank you so much for the invitation but I have plans with Hans already."
"Next time it is." Jack looks at Elsa and then continues, "Are you ready love?"
"Yes." Elsa states with her best fake smile. As a royal she had to learn how to control her emotions and fake appearances at a very young age.
Elsa's P.O.V
I interlace Prince Jack's arm with mine and we start to make our way to the town. On our way out of the castle we bump into my future brother-in-law, Hans.
"Good afternoon, what are your plans for today?" Hans questions.
"We are on our way for a stroll. My sister is ready and waiting for you inside."
"Okay. I will get out of your way." He states with a smile.
Before we know it we made it to the town. There wasn't many people but that was understandable.
"So how are you holding up today?" Prince Jack asks concerned.
Before I can answer I notice a group of suspicious men behind us and in front as well. I stop walking and hold Prince Jack back. As soon as I do this the men in front of us turn around and approach us.
Prince Jack protectively stands in front of me and reaches for his sword. "I warn you I am mighty good with this sword if i dare say so myself."
"If you make a scene we will have to kill anyone around us." The apparent leader of the men warns.
"It won't have to come to that. We will do whatever you say." I state.
Jack looks at me and I plead with my eyes for him to stand down. He finally puts his sword away and one of the men takes it away.
"Okay. Move!" Another man orders and pushes us forward.
The men lead us to the docks and as I look around I realize there is nobody else here. Prince Jack notices my fear and reaches for my hand.
"Everything will be alright. I promise I won't let them hurt you." He states while staring deeply into my eyes.
Suddenly one of the men grabs Prince Jack and starts to punch him various times.
"No!! Leave him alone!" I scream with all my force while pulling away from the men holding me back.
"Shut up! Nobody will hear you. Here comes our boss anyways."
The stranger approaches us and removes the cloak to reveal... Hans!?
"What? I don't understand..." I mumble confused.
Hans approaches me and aggressively grabs my chin. "I planned this." He states and looks at Prince Jack. "A real man deserves to rule this kingdom not a woman! If only you would have waited a little more we could have been the ones engaged and this would have been easier. But you kept rejecting every suitor and chose Jack when I was about to propose."
"I would have never been yours and Arandelle even less!" I state angrily.
"Proceed with the plan. Put them on different boats and when you are far enough kill them and dispose their bodies in the ocean." Hans states with a repugnant smirk.
He approaches Prince Jack and with his sword stabs him in the stomach. "I've been waiting a long time to do that."
"No!" I cry and break from the men's grasp and run towards Jack.
I reach for his hand and he reaches for mine, and just before our fingertips can touch, a man pulls me back and takes me to the boat.
