I stare into the horizon
And notice powerless
As the sea is coming closer
Closer to me
And closer to this sinking ship
And I just stay there.
I stay there and I watch
As it bursts into tiny little waves
Ready to unveil the creatures hiding in between
And I just stay there.
I stay there and I wait
As it reaches closer and closer
Ready to grab my corpse and shatter what isn't even there yet
And I just stay there.
I stay and I breathe
As it sharpens its blades
Ready to slit my mind into pieces
And I just stay there.
And then-
It stops.
Now it's just staring in confusion
And instead of answering my calling
It wanders into thoughts
It wonders what is wrong with that broken little silhouette
Just staying there.
I sighAs I stare into the horizon one more time,
It's just staying there.
The ship is almost lost into the downcast depths
Of its mind
And I sigh-
I take a deep breath as if it were my last
And I fallOr maybe I jump
Into it, the unmistakable sea
That's just staying there
Waiting for the next move.
Now it's just a race
Between me and this ship
Whoever wins, will lose
And we know with every tiny bit that's left of our minds and souls
That we can't just stay there.
