Author's Recap:   Lydia bests Robert at poker with his mates her first weekend living with him.  But he accepts that with equanimity.  They begin a friendship based on mutual love of food--due to Lydia's fantastic cooking that Robert helps her prepare--and sharing tips from their dating histories for future reference.

"Love & Friendship", Ch. 5:  Robert & Lydia bond further over debugging and candy making

Lydia and Robert's days are spent at the studio with him filming on his current project and Lydia writing in his dressing room working on the script revisions or script extensions on her laptop for their project together.  Then, when Robert gets a break between set ups, he and Lydia talk about the script projects she's working on for him.  Naturally, being in Robert's dressing room means that he has to get dressed in costume for different scenes—so, initially he mostly changes in his bathroom.  But, by the second week of Robert working—and living—with Lydia, they feel so comfortable with each other that Robert tends to change in his dressing room's sitting area while talking with Lydia who is working on script writing and revisions on her laptop.

Most of the time when Robert is dressing or undressing in the sitting area of his dressing room trailer, Lydia turns to face the wall to give Robert his privacy—even though he usually has a costumer or two helping him change so they get the costumes and accessories right for continuity purposes.  And it's not like Robert is completely naked in front of Lydia.  But he does get down to his briefs a few times—which Lydia can't help but notice appreciatively as she tries to keep her eyes and focus on her laptop.  Keeping her focus on her writing is a bit difficult at times when Lydia has "England's Heartthrob" standing not five feet from her and almost naked.

However today, Robert comes back to his dressing room today from a particularly grueling scene covered in mud brought in to the stage set.  But, before he steps into his dressing room, the costumer takes his costume from him—so that they can replicate the dirt for the next scene—and Robert [(2) right] steps into his dressing room just wearing his briefs, mud, and bugs.

Lydia:  "Good grief, Robert!  What happened to you?  It looks like you've been slimed!"  She exclaims seeing him covered head to toe in dirt, and god knows what else.

Robert:  Laughing, he says  "Almost!   I did a lot of crawling around on the ground in this last scene.  I feel like I've got insects crawling in my ears."  Little does Robert know that he is absolutely correct.  "I'm going to take a shower.  I just hope they don't want me to do another crawl take."   Robert looks over at Lydia with clear disgust on his face.
