You are the precious dagger,
Driven too far to be removed.
Tears flowing freely I weep,
Under weight of emotions I stagger,
That you can not love, you have proved.
Bound to you even in sleep,
Thoughts of you leave me haggard,
My indifference for you unimproved.
Only your heart I wished to keep,
Tied down, held back you'd be shattered,
What is to be left but my love refused.
