die tonight

You are gonna die tonight.
You are gonna die tonight.

There's been a massacre in the house just down the street;
I heard the perp wore an animal's mask, criminally decorated in all black.
Camouflaged in the night; without a heart to beat;
Lock your doors; prevent his god awful attack.
Should you not heed my warning: you are going to die tonight;
Tomorrow morning you will lay in repose; your skin, sickly white.

You are gonna die tonight.
You are gonna die tonight.

The town's mayor imposed a curfew for eight o'clock;
Yet another lockdown for time lost.
We are not safe if we step off our front porch;
A killer's on the loose, one with no remorse.
Halloween night falls on a full moon this year;
As our hollow corpses fill up with fear.

You are gonna die tonight.
You are gonna die tonight.

Drowning in a deadened slumber on All Hallow's Eve;
I awake to a bang, a clash, a thief!
For a moment I am trapped in a sudden daze;
The night's grasp has clouded my gaze.
Immediately I hear thuds of heavy footsteps; creaking on the wooden floorboards.
I am in danger - there's someone in my house!
I can't defeat this attacker with my words;
What if it's the guy I've heard the news talk about?!

You are gonna die tonight.
You are gonna die tonight.

I slide beneath my bed in hopes of remaining hidden;
Oh how naive was my wishful thinking.
My bedroom door swings open with an almighty force;
As he enters my room; as chilling as a ghost.
Slowly he creeps upon my floorboards; as my heart bounces into my mouth;
As fear builds up within me I leave out a panicked shout.
Suddenly, he grabs me and I see him;
A man wearing a goat's mask; spawn of Satan.

You are gonna die tonight.
You are gonna die tonight.

He throws me downstairs and ties me up on a wooden chair in my kitchen;
He was so callous; so cruel; a man with no emotion.
He delicately caresses his blade across my neck;
As I thought this is the end; this is it.
But — suddenly! Keys shimmied in my front door's lock;
Was it my roommate? My parents? Or even the cops?
Little did I know that it was another attacker who never did manage to get in;
But, in some unholy circumstance, it terrified my assailant.
He ran - no - he darted! He bolted through my backdoor into the dead of night;
As he left the back door open; a promise one day to return with a bigger knife.
