"Follow me, Adrianna." He whispers seductively into my ear as the hair rises on the back of my neck. His Italian accent caresses the melodic tone of my name, drowning me in his voice. As we take off running he takes my hand to squeeze it gently. He guides me through the forest quickly and quietly, me holding the bottom of my white dress to keep it from touching the floor.

We make it to a clearing with shimmering waters and beautiful lit flowers. The suns rays hit the grass with gleaming light. The trees surround the clearing making them a fort. He looks at me and smiles. He smiles the smile of a thousand worlds, where his dimples show like deep crest.

His face comes closer to mine as I study everything from his perfect pink lips to his sharply placed nose. His forest green eyes start to glitter in the sun as the pure midnight wolf shines in his eyes.

Suddenly, my surroundings change. The forest turns dark and gloomy with the strengthening wind and the sun disappears leaving a purple moon. As I watch, he transforms into a wolf. The midnight wolf. Pure black hair covered his face and body, with pointed ears on the top of his head. His hands turned to paws, with long dirty claws.

Showing me his teeth sharp and ready to kill, my romance turns into horror. I try to scream, but it's gone in an instant. The urge of nervousness and fear overwhelms me as I try to back up, but can't. My body is paralyzed and my body shocked with fear.

When I feel it can't get any worse, the floor buries my legs and hands leaving me with no way out. It's his chance to kill me; I just want to get it over with. He lunges at me, and I know it's over.

When my vision goes black, for a second I think I'm dead, but then I wake up.

I wake to the rattling of the window and the wind. It's deciding to whisper this evening, louder than most other days. Yet, it calms down after a moment.

My room has purple walls, and a burgundy carpet. My closet is on my right near the bathroom in the corner. The room is full of the evenings sunlight making everything bright.

Sitting upwards, I wrap my velvet blanket around me tightly. I try to keep off the cool evening air while wiping off the sweat that is forming on my forehead.

The nightmares come every night, haunting me like a ghost who can't find anyone to scare. Although, it's not like I can stop myself from dreaming, and taking pills or talking to someone is all to cliché. Anyway, I'm not planning on telling anyone. They would think I'm crazy. Even my own parents would think they raised a nut-case.

Sighing, I look back to the rattling window. I unwrap myself from my blanket and my feet touch the cold dry floor, making me shiver involuntarily. I walk slowly and silently as the wooden floorboards creak below me. I lightly open the white curtains, taking a peak of the new world I've entered.

Yes, I said New World, which is Athens, Georgia. I got a scholarship here because of my speed record for running. It was timed well, since I do my daily routines on the YMCA track field, and the coach for the track runners is at a meeting in the building across. Also, I was home schooled my whole middle and high school life, so getting recognized for running wasn't easy.

In the sky, cotton white clouds float and the colour of orange is as a still background. The street blossoms with red and green leaves as more intertwine on the ground and roof tops. The feeling of running outside gets to the best of me, so I grab my jacket and iPod.
