My Uncle Robert and his wife each owned a dog. He had a girl dog and she had a boy. The two dogs loved each other, so much. Apparently my uncle and aunt didn't string together like they did. They both separated and when they did their dogs were devastated. When his wife went back to her home place in Hackelburg, her dog would barely eat, let alone do anything at all. My uncles dog was unfortunately in the same condition.
Alas, they got back together, and she was moving back in with him. When she arrived, the first thing her dog did was run right out of the vehicle, as if he knew, and straight towards my uncles dog. They were so happy, their giddy jumps and whimpers let you know.
One year later, the boy tragically had a heat stroke and died. The girl was so beyond sorrowed, that she fell into depression. The void was deep, and even so obvious, that she wasn't eating, nor seem to have any will to do anything. She would never let any other dog go near the boy's doghouse. She would just lay on the boy dogs grave and do nothing. You may even hear her whimper and cry for him, and sometimes she would cry on his grave. Six months later, she died laying there.
