It's hard being a state. Dealing with fifty step siblings can get hectic. But I hold out pretty well, I think. It took me longer then the others to get over the revolutionary war. As you know I was torn between America and England even though England didn't even know I existed. I felt bad that America- the closest thing to a dad I could ever have- to over 6 years to beat an enemy he promised to beat in two.
Skylar is used to being disapointed by the acts of her "Dad". He just doesn't understand her. She knows this and doesn't try to change him. She loves him but there's some wounds that just can't heal. She's so used to disapointment that she avoids any relationships further then friendship. But come Valentine's Day New York may find out that being Daddy's little princess Yorkie has a few perks. Catching the attention of two city-states may be just what this state needed.
