When I lay

In the scalding water of my bathtub

And look down at myself

I see a beach

My breasts are two towering sand dunes

Whipped and shaped by the sea breeze

Looking further down

My stomach and waist

Are the expanse of sand that meets the sea

Some rocks are scattered about

Making tide pools in the dips and concaves of my hips

Water collects in my belly button

From the last high tide

Clams and shrimp and little fish

Are trapped inside

The fine hair on my torso waves back and forth

Like fronds of kelp

Swaying with the current

My legs

Submerged in the water

Are two cliffs of rock

Making way for Mariana's trench

In between
