Chapter 17-

*Tilly’s POV*

Beau punched Skip and I panicked and ran. I don’t know why I ran, I just did. I couldn’t bear to see them fight, especially not because of me. If I’d never entered their lives they’d be perfectly fine. I messed everything up.

I was currently curled up on Beau’s windowsill hidden behind the curtain. I knew they’d come looking for me and I knew someone would eventually find me. But for the moment I was in my own world. Torturing myself with thoughts of what I could possibly have caused. Janoskians split. Their careers ruined. Millions of fans disappointed. All because of my stupid feelings.

“Tilly?” His voice cut through the silence life a knife, sending shivers down my spine. I didn’t move from my hiding spot. He was the last person I wanted to talk to. “I know you’re in here.” He mumbled. “You wouldn’t have gone anywhere else.” I still didn’t move or respond.

“Fine, you stay on the windowsill, and I’ll just talk.” He sighed. “Look I just wanted to say sorry, for everything, for not being him, for hurting you.” Water was building in my tear ducts as slowly pulled back the curtain to reveal myself.

Daniel was sat awkwardly on the end of Beau’s bed, his eyes locked on me.

“Daniel, you never had to be him,” I shook my head, sliding of my perch and moving over to him cautiously. “I wanted you, the Skip that made me laugh till my sides ached, the idiot that sang One Direction to me in public, the boy that made me feel special.”

“T,” he sighed, “Why didn’t you say something?”

“You were so convinced that I was in love with Beau you never stopped to consider how I might actually feel for you. Why do you even think I agreed to go out with you?” I shrugged.

“I just thought you were trying to make him jealous,” Skip sighed again, “I ruined our whole relationship.”

“You changed babe,” I replied, “And change isn’t always for the best.”

“I know,” he raked his hands down his face.

“Do we get the old Skip back then?” I smiled at him, “Cause I really liked that guy.”

“I’m working on it.” He smiled a weak smile back at me.

“Good!” I clapped.

“Tilly?” He asked, his mood still sombre.

“Yes?” I questioned.

“You are in love with Beau though right?” He asked, his eyebrows knitting together as he thought something over.

“Honestly?” I breathed, “I have no idea. He makes me feel different than anyone else does, like being with him is just so easy, so natural and I miss him a hell of a lot when he’s not around. But he’s my best friend and I don’t want to lose that.” Skip placed an arm round me and I flinched slightly, before relaxing into his side.

“Want some advice?” he asked and I nodded in response. “Talk to him about it, see how he feels. Then give it a go, life’s to short to live without knowing what could’ve been.”

“Wow. Skip, you actually said something pretty smart.” I joked. He punched me lightly on the arm before wrapping me up in a bear hug.

“Just try Till,” he whispered into my hair, “I don’t think you’ll regret it.”

“Thanks Skip, for the advice.” I muttered into his chest. He left me go and I pecked his cheek. “Friends?”

“Hell yeah,” he laughed, “No one gets rid of Daniel Sahyounie that easy.” I joined in with his laughter and we sat together on Beau’s bed laughing about nothing until Beau himself interrupted us.
