Hell
Hell is something crafted by the hands, actions, and ideas of man
it is not a void of eternal blackness
it is not an underground cave with lakes of fire and little red men with horns, hoofs, and pointed tails
Hell. is all around us
down every street, alley way, sidewalk, corner store, strip club, parking lot
it is something we breathe eat, kiss, and make love to
Hell is in the eyes of fast food workers, bank clerks, dump truck drivers, and old white politicians
Hell is big cities
Hell is bounced checks
Hell is not knowing if you are going to be able to eat tomorrow
Hell is wanting to cry but not being able to
we live lives that are in constant high gear
always against the clock
always on a road that goes in circles
these are not words of pessimism, selfishness, negativity or depression
these are words of honesty
something that Hell doesn't have anything to do with
