My mom shook me awake and then she got out of the car and started putting boxes inside our new home. I look to my left to see my brand new house. All I see is black, black door, black siding, black window, black everything

"This is our new house?" I ask my mom.

She puts down the box in her hand and says, "Yes! Aria, isn't this exciting?!"

"You're joking...right?" I ask her. She rolls her eyes and walks down the long walkway, with a moving box, and into our house. I take another look at my house and see that all the windows have these gates on them so no one can get out. The door is a very dark black, like the night sky, but with no stars. There are dead trees surrounding the house, I don't know if it's because it's winter or because the trees are afraid to grow around this scary house. There are these large gray boulders that are around the perimeter of the house. The lawn is an ugly shade of brown. The only NON black piece of the house is the red chimney sticking out of the house. I go to the back of the car and take out a box labeled "Kitchen Stuff". I walk up the  walkway with Audrey following behind. I walk through the front door, but Audrey is still outside.

"Come on Audrey!" I tell her. She starts to back away from the house. I put the box down. I start to whistle, she always responds to a whistle. She starts to whimper and backs away even more.

"Mom! Audrey is not coming in the house!" I yell into the house.

"Maybe she's sad about the move, let her stay outside; she doesn't need to be in the house now," my mom replies. I shrug and walk into the house. Wow, it looks like the last people to live in here were from the 1600s or even earlier! The furniture is so old along with the - wait a minute!

"MOM?!?! Where is the TV and Computer?" I yelled.

My mom came down the stairs and said, "About that....the cable and internet guy is coming next week"

At that moment I dropped the box I was holding, "NEXT WEEK?!?!?!?!??!?!!? How am I supposed to communicate with my friends, mom?!"

"You'll make new ones at school tomorrow," she replied as she walked up the stairs. School?! Ugh, this is the worst move...EVER!
