Gon's POV:
I was going home from a full day of fishing. I was pretty depressed, because I couldn't find much adventure at all! I kicked a rock and caught it with my hand. I remembered creating my nen ability with Killua and Bisky. Then I climbed up a tree and threw the rock as far as I could. I laid back down and stared at the sky in the tree.
I took in the smell of the breeze. I could smell... a chimera ant? I hopped up and froze, then jumped down from the tree, holding my fishing rod as if it would do absolutely anything to protect me. When I was just standing there for a whole five minutes, I decided it was safe. I walked home.
Then, I found this birds nest in a tree, and a furry lump in it. I looked at it peculiarly, and something was thrown at my face. "Gross!" I complained. There was an egg splattered in my hair! I looked up at the responsible lump. Then it started moving, and I got into fighting stance.
The lump jumped out at me, and sat on my head.
"Get off!"
"No thank you, Gon."
"HUh?"
It knew my name?!
"Your going to help me find my family! You jelly bean!"
