A Place of Loneliness

A light breeze carress the trees

The sun gently shines

The birds are chirpping softly

The squirrels play all around

It's utterly quiet except the ducks who make it their business to be known

The sunlighthits the pond just right to make it sparkle and beautiful

Now just add to the mix some beautiful plants along the edge of the pond

Very beautiful and peaceful

This is a place to be shared

This place of peace and beauty

Thus my problem

I have no one to feel the gentle caress of the sunlight with

No one to listen to the songs of the birds with

No one to laugh at the playful squirrels with

No one to hold me close when the wind gently blows to coldly caress our skin

No one to share in the peace and beauty of this place I call my own

It's hard to believe that a place of such beauty and peace would be a place of such lonliness
