Thank goodness I’m not exactly dumb and that I’m in college, or else my life is over. Overdramatic? Maybe. This is the maximum point for appreciating the college scholarship I received and the fact that college is liberated. Now you are probably wondering why I seem to make such a big deal of my education. I did something really stupid. My boyfriend Luke got me pregnant. He found out I was and now I don’t know where he is. So here I am, walking down a street, I’ve been walking ever since I told my mom about this. But let’s go back to what happened before you join me in my life:

It was a Saturday afternoon and we were watching Just My Luck in his dorm. Luke probably noticed that something was bothering me, since he paused the movie to talk to me.

“Hey babe, talk to me, what’s wrong.” Luke asked

“Please don’t hate me after I say something.” I pleaded

“Nothing can possibly make me hate you, boo.” Luke replied

“Luke, I’m pregnant.” I say immediately

The news is a shock. He didn’t say anything.

“Boo, I… I…” he said at attempting to say something

I just looked at him anxiously. I need to know what he has to say.

“I’ll be with you, don’t worry babe.”

We didn’t even finish the movie. I told him I had to get to my house before it got dark.

“Of course, it wouldn’t be good for our baby.” He said, but I could sense something was stopping him. Of course, what college couple would be so happy that they were expecting a child?

I got home and greeted my mom a good evening. I didn’t know why but I couldn’t tell her yet. She doesn’t really come up to my room so she didn’t know that I’ve been crying since last week when I found out that I was pregnant. I remembered it, I was with my best friend Monica who bought those tests for me. Positive. It’s not that my mom didn’t care about me, she just kept her word that she won’t be snooping in my room and she was pretty busy with her company. I guess that wasn’t an all perfect idea. Before I went to bed, I went through my readings. The next morning, was like any other morning. Mom left me breakfast since she always had to leave early for work, which is a fashion empire for her. After eating breakfast, I brushed my teeth, got dressed and went to the university. The only thing unusual was that I couldn’t see Luke the whole day. I didn’t see him in the classes we had together nor did I see him during our breaks. When all my classes were done for the day, I passed by Luke’s dorm. At the front desk of the lobby, I signed my name, who I was visiting and purpose. I handed the lady my ID, but when she saw who I was visiting,

“I’m sorry, Ms. Ferguson, but Luke moved out this morning.” The lady informed me

My eyes widened, “What?”

“Luke moved out, he’s not renting the dorm anymore.” The lady repeated

“W-w-why? Did he say where he was going to go?” I asked with a hint of panic

“He didn’t say anything, we were quite surprised ourselves.” The lady replied
