Today is the first day of my new beginning. Me and my mother and my brother decided to join the datuntless faction when our mother confessed she was dauntless born ...my mother and I were never meant for abnegation and I always knew it but it never entered my head that we might change. My brother will never stay in dauntless I know it, he was meant to be abnegation and he will go and rejoin my father in that life within at least a month. Everything about my old like was boring, considering I was abnegation did not help tho ! Every day of school was another day of being taunted for my drab clothing and shyness, but tomorrow when I start in faction high everything must change. I will stop being that quiet girl from abnegation and begin again as the confident and outgoing dauntless girl. I have decided to change my boring abnegation name Beatrice to Tris ( I never liked Beatrice anyway). We moved into our cool and quirky apartment today and already I feel at home, only this time I can lie on the couch with my feet on the coffee table and watch tv and talk as much as like. I love dauntless life already, there is so much more freedom !!
