Obsession: /əbˈseSHən/

noun
1. the state of being obsessed with someone or something.

Obsession would be an understatement if we're going to talk about the worlds reaction to the new boyband Sun Time. I know, right? What a great name. Not.

And to make things worse, they were everywhere.

And when I say everywhere, I mean everywhere. I can't get out of my house without seeing something about them. If I go into a store –Sun Time. If I go walking around the streets –Sun Time. If I by any chance decide to call my best friend to talk, guess what is the only thing she will talk about?

Yes, you guessed it. Sun-freaking-Time.

Is it wrong of me to dislike them so much? Can't the world just let me hate them in peace? For God's sake, it's truly ridiculous the amount of fans they have. They're just auto-tuned singers with commercial love/pop songs.

So of course you could say I freaked out when I received the lovely news that I had to go to their concert.

Why would I do such a thing, you might ask? Well, let's just say that I'm too much of a good friend. After knowing the sacrifices that I would go through for my friends I am now 100% aware of the fact that no one deserves me.

Turns out that I somehow won a contest –one I clearly don't remember ever applying to- in which the prizes where:

· For the third place: A brand new iPhone XR.

· For the second place: A brand new 13-inch Macbook Air.

· For the first place: 2 Sun Time concert tickets including the honor of being able to meet them backstage.

Turns out I won.

And I could have won the iPhone or the laptop, but, since it's me we're talking about, of course I won the tickets.

Now you might wonder why I don't just throw them away.

Don't think I didn't consider my options, but my name got announced as the concert tickets winner in every single tv channel and my one and only best friend Pierina D'Amico saw it and called me right away.

So that brings me to now, holding that little envelope which had my worst nightmare inside. I asked if I could just give her the two tickets, but it seems that since I'm the winner I have to be there otherwise the tickets won't be valid anymore.

My phone started ringing as I was too into my self-pity party. So I picked it up and saw it was Pierina.

"What do you want now?" I asked her in a bored tone.

"Don't talk to me in that tone missy," I could feel her rolling her eyes at me "So tell me, you have the tickets already?"

"Yes. I just texted you telling you that I already received them."

"Okay good, I can't wait for tomorrow! Seriously I am so coming to your house before the concert to help you get ready."

"No, you're not." I said firmly glaring at the wall in front of me. "I swear to God, that if you appear here at my house I will burn those tickets."

"Fine, I won't go. You're such a party pooper though."

"Well I'm in my room with Sun Time concert tickets that I will be forced to use, so I guess that gives me the absolute right to not want to talk to you."

"Girl, I know you're in a bad mood, I could notice it since the moment you picked up the phone." She said between chuckles "But I won't let your mood bring me down, because tomorrow will be the best day of my life! See ya at the concert place!" She said and finally hung up the phone without waiting for my answer.

I still can't believe I'm such a good person.
