We need to talk." I let her in and closed the door.

"There's nothing to talk about." I shrugged going in the kitchen making me a drink. I sure as hell was gonna need it.

"Yes there is and it's simple."

"Haven't you made it clear you didn't want nothing to do with me."

"Earl." I turned around not knowing what to say. Jasmine looked at me as I sat down slowly.

"Man no can you leave" I got holding the door wide open for her

"Tia listen to her please" Jasmine said coming beside me

"I don't wanna hear it Jasmine. Let's not forget they tried to get me killed. Like seriously, there's nothing that needs to be said about anything. So you can just step, right out the door."

"Tia what happened" my mom came on the other side of me. I got up moving on the other side of Jasmine

"Now you wanna ask what happened huh. I tried to tell you, you didn't wanna listen."

"But I wanna listen now. Tia I'm trying to understand why you chose a woman."

"I knew there was a catch get out." I got up and went upstairs

"Ms. Smith hold on. I'll talk to her." I heard Jasmine say coming after me

"Tia please listen to her. Put your hate and anger aside. Look ion like her either but I'm willing to listen."

"She tried to have me killed Jasmine. What part of that you don't get." I hit my fist against the wall. I indeed had anger problems. I honestly didn't want jazz to know but I think she realizes it now.

"Tia, come here. I'm not asking you. I'm telling you." She grabbed me, holding my chin making me look at her. "Your gonna listen to her ok, and if you dare wanna act up. I got something for you. Be a good girl for Daddy and we'll be cool. Ok." 

"Ok."

"Kiss?" She asked

"Mhm" her kisses always calmed me down

"We cool?"

"Yea we cool" I walked back out holding her hand

"What you want to know?"

"Earl. Tia what happened."

"I tried to tell you before. You wouldn't believe me. You said I was lying. Nobody believed me. He threatened to kill me if I told."

"I'm sorry I didn't believe you, when was it."

*flash back*

"I'll be back, Earl watch my girl for me." My dad said I went upstairs and closed the door. I sat at my piano and began to play a melody that I wrote myself.

"What's the melody my niece" my uncle walked in

"I don't know I just made it up" he sat by me rubbing my shoulders

"Could you stop" I shifted moving away

"Tia you've grown so much and so fast" he kept touching me. I tried fighting back, but he was stronger than me. I ended up falling off my piano bench. He got on top holding me down

"Stop! Please" I started to cry "Somebody help!" I kicked him and started to take off but he grabbed my leg

"Stop fighting Tia. Nobody's here to help you" he pulled down my skirt
