Friends

We used to play with the fishes,

you used to braid my hair.

We used to play with dolls,

I used to call you my friend.

We used to joke and laugh together,

anywhere.

We dreamt of travelling the world, then,

we were still friends.

We used to share laughter,

we used to share tears,

we pledged to be friends for life and

you helped with my fears.

Then I was still childish, I was still young,

I found the city, and it answered my wants.

I wanted freedom, I wanted class,

but I could'nt forget the way you looked

at me when you danced.

Far away I went,on a journey alone ,

to leave the place I loved, I once called home.

Retribution came,you were never there.

You have found your own group of friends,

who cherishes and loves you more than I have.

Goodbye my friend, goodbye.

Do you still remember?
