Prologue
My name is Adrian Blackwelder, but everybody calls me Andi. I turned seventeen about five and a half months ago. I ran away three months later. That was the best night of my life because I had escaped my terrible parents and abusive ex-boyfriend. They probably don't even care that I'm gone. My mom is a drug addict who prefers crystal meth and marijuana over all other drugs. Last I knew, my dad was scrapping stolen cars and blowing his paychecks on beer. Josh - my ex-boyfriend - abused me every chance he got. He only went so far though, but that was only to ensure that he wasn't put in jail for domestic abuse
