Anyway, this was an assignment I did for my writing class. The assignment was to describe our mother indirectly through our mother daughter relationship. Our teacher gave us full creative reign on this assignment, which is pretty great!

Step on a crack,
And break your mother’s back.
Why on earth would I do that?
Kick and a crack,
She begins to flashback,
Slap and a gasp a replayed thwack.
Mother’s heart is at a lack,
Measures an angle of attack,
With a laugh a smack smack smack.
Finally she hits the sack,
Let her daughter’s heart bounce back,
Days go by with some slack.
A week after they’re right on track,
Present day it’s still whack smack crack,
A heart breaks and fades to ivory black.
Step on a crack
And break your mother’s back.
Why on earth would I do that?
