It had been a few days sense the two of them had met and from the first day Red was denying she had ever said she loved Elijah. Even though she knew in her heart that she did have feeling for him, she denied it all. After having their first sexual encounter with each other, Elijah had immediately demanded that she break all ties with her boyfriend.

 “I’m not going to dump him! Go find yourself a nice little wolf girl, because I certainly don’t want you.” Sha had said that over twenty times today, and it was irritating Elijah to no end.

“Why can’t you let him go? I’m everything you need!” Elijah had practically moved into her grandmother’s house. The older woman had gone out that same day and bought him some clothes, and told him that he could make himself very comfortable, and even went as far as to say that he could sleep in the same bed as Red.

Of course he hadn’t made it past the stairs when he tried to sleep in her room, and now he was sleeping on the couch, but he was always there, asking her if she needed something or if she wanted him to get anything from the store. At first it was really sweet, but then is was slowly becoming irritating for Red.

“Can you just drop it?” Red was putting on her red jacket so she was able to go to her everyday job. Red worked at a bookstore slash coffee shop during the weekend.

“Where are you going?”

“People have to work in the normal world.” She looked back at Elijah and saw the sad little puppy dog face he was giving her. It made her heart melt that she was leaving him here all alone, but she needed to go to work and he couldn’t come with her. “Bye Elijah.”

“You know that when we get married, you don’t have to work.” The thought made her stop and look at him. Was he rich or something? He came from the forest so he was probably a lying crazy person. 

“See you later wolf boy.” She walked out the door and slowly traversed the streets until she was at the bookstore. Her co-worker, Annie, was there already wiping down the tables and getting ready for the day. Annie waved when Red walked through the door.

“Hey little lady, haven’t seen you in a few days, what’s up with you on this fine day?” Annie handed her apron then made a move to start up the coffee maker and smoothie machine. Annie was a cute lady, with bright orange hair that spun out in every direction. She was like that crazy aunt that everyone wanted to hang out with.
