Ellie's {Fabulous} Point of View

The sound of my red high heels are quite pleasant. Lately that's all I've been hearing. I've been wearing these damn heels for a week now, trying to look good while having job interviews. But at least they sound good. Oh well.

Thank God it's summer, I don't have to go to school anymore. Currently, I'm attending FIT (The Fashion Institute of Technology)  in grande ol' New York City, pursuing all my fashion dreams. The world needs a little Ellie in them, don't ya think? Although I absolutely love FIT, I mean it's one of the most prestigous schools for fashion in the whole world, I'm glad to have some time off. Even when you're living your dream, you have to have some time to de-stress.

So like any starving college student, I'm looking for a job in fashion this summer, or at least an internship. Otherwise I'll just be living in my local Starbucks the whole summer. So far, no luck with the job.

At least I had something to look forward to, though! My little apartment was about to be getting a new roomate on the lease! And it is none other then my cousin Cindy Summers! Gosh, I can't wait to see her, it's been too long.

And there was an especially special reason for me to see her. She and her ultra-famous-super-hot boyfriend had just broken up. After two years of love! I know right? Terrible! Who is this guy, you may ask? Zayn freakin Malik. From One Direction.

See, two years ago, my precious cousin Cindy had her heart broken by this guy, Colt, so she was just really pissed and called a radio station so the whole town could hear how bad he was. And guess what? One Direction were on the station. And being the "cheeky chap" he is, Harry wanted to make her feel better, and wrote down her number from the radio station. Long story short, Harry became a jerk to Cindy, and kissed her just because Simon told him to do so for publicity. Ugh. Then, Cindy basically fell in love with Zayn, and he fell in love with her. And I think Niall had a little crush on her too. And somewhere in this crazy journey, I came in. She was in NYC with the boys, so Liam and I went shopping with her to cheer her up, stuff like that (I may or may not have embarassed myself in front of a whole crowd of Directioners). Well, whatever.

So, here I am, at FIT, thinking that Cindy and Zayn were having a jolly good time being in love. Well, I guess not, because my favorite magazine just reported that they broke up. They reported that it was a "mutual desicion". Huh. Mutual desicion my butt. I'm going to get to the bottom of this, and soon.

And just to my luck, the doorbell to my apartment rang. Yes! I can finally interegate Cindy!

I flung open the door to find my pretty Cindy, standing there timidly. I could see that she had taken my fashion advice. Her brown wavy hair looked soft and gentle, and she was wearing barely any makeup, but her green eyes still looked good (that bitch!). Cindy was sporting her black combat boots, which matched mine. Her green tank top clung to her curves, but it was covered by a loose grey zip hoodie. Her light jean shorts were the perfect length. She looked amazing! Well, that is, until I actually looked into those big green eyes of hers, and saw that they were masking sadness.

Zayn. Ugggghhhhhh.

"Cinddddyyyyyyy!" I squealed, not caring about my annoying neighbors hearing me. She looked a little taken aback at my hug/tackle, but in our embrace I knew she felt some comfort. I knew that she was excited to spend a summer with her favorite cousin.

"Hi," She whispered.

I released her and helped tug all her bags into my apartment. I had already bought her a little cot to sleep on (hey, it's better than sleeping on a couch), and I plopped her bag near it. I motioned her to sit down on the cot, and I sat down on my own bed, paralell to hers.

I smirked at her. "See, Cindy, I know that the customary questions to ask right about now would be 'how was your flight?', 'are you liking the city?', and blah blah blah." She raised an eyebrow, seeing what I was getting at. "But," I paused to examine the mix of emotions on her face. "I'm going to ask you this: What the heck happened with you and Zayn?"

She groaned and pushed her face into a pillow. "Ellie... I..."

Whoops. I moved over to her on the bed and silently hugged her. I knew that she needed some time to get over him. Gosh, I shouldn't have said that.  I gently stroked her hair.

She turned her face to me, and I could see the water collecting at the corners of them, her beautiful green eyes becoming bloodshot with tears. I hugged her closer to me. Through her sobs, she managed to mutter a few cohesive thoughts to me. "He... he cheated on me!" She cried and cried, and I felt an anger rise inside me. That jerk. He broke Cindy's heart.

There was no way that he was getting away with this.

Yes, that's right, it's time for me to see the boys of One Direction again.

Get ready, boys, because no one breaks my cousins' heart.

Ellie Summers was ready to get to the bottom of this.
