This story is a sequel to my first-ever fanfiction "It Must Have Been Love", which was written years ago. The events that happen in this story are quite closely connected to the ones that happened in the prequel, and some of the character decisions are based on things that took place before.
If you do decide to go and read the prequel, please know that the grammar, the writing style and the plot are really different since it was written seven years ago. There were some of the decisions I made in terms of plot, that I really regret making, and it somewhat undermined the way I want this story to go. I grew (or would like to think that I did) as a writer a lot as well as a person. I would suggest reading "It Must Have Been Love" (I mean, the title kind of gives off the vibe of a first fic, doesn't it?) for more for context for "I'll Hold Your Heart & Never Let Go" than anything else.
In this story, there are a few changes made.
1. The spelling of the main character's name was changed from "Carolina" to "Caroline", as well as the nickname from "Kay" to "Cara".
2. Some of the events from "It Must Have Been Love" are ignored, purely because I regret writing them in the first place.
3. The Rev, in this fanfiction, has passed away. Please know that I want to keep this as close to reality as I can, that is why I made such a decision.
4. That being said, this is also a fanfiction, which means the way the characters are portrayed and the decisions they make do not, in any way, reflect those in real life and are purely fictional.
