LOUIS' POV

1 YEAR LATER

Tulips, these were her favorite. I squeezed the handle of the boquet  before pushing the cemetery gate.

As I passed the tombstones and reading some of the description on it I kept thinking what were the stories of these people. Were there stories, as great as ours? As I make my way to her grave I saw an old man sitting on the ground holding a book and was reading out loud. When I took a closer look, I saw that he was reading it to the tombstone.

He must have noticed me for his gaze shifted to me. I politely nodded as he did the same. I got a glimpse of the inscription. Lauren Abrahams. Sept 14 2002 - January 12, 2012. The first thing that popped into my head was "so young". I also saw the book the man was reading, it was a princess story book.

He looked at me from below and gave me a smile. "Leukemia." Was all he said, and I understood.

I brought up my tulips for him to see it. "Me too."

And with that, he gave another warm smile and I returned it back. He went back reading to his daughter, I guess. Leukemia, some thing that world was better off with out.

As I get closer to her grave, my feet became heavier, it's like gravity is pulling me down. How long has it been anyway since I visited her? Ever since her death ..

I couldn't even finish what I was thinking. Here I am, in front of her grave. Fresh flowers were set on the ground. Must have been from her mom and her sister. I slowly placed the tulips right in front of her grave. I looked at her name, a name I never spoke of ever since she passed away. I then sat down on the grass, and after a long long time, I was face to face with her.

"Hello." I said to her. Ofcourse, as if I'd get a response. Then the wind blew and almost shook me over. Oh, I guess she is responding.

I chuckled. "You always have your ways, haven't you?"

"So, um, how are you?" I stupidly asked. This is stupid, I keep asking her question when I know she's not going to reply. I look at her tombstone again, and looked at her name. My hand went unconsciously on her name and felt the carved marble.

"I miss you." I said.

"I've never said this to you, not because I didn't want to. It's because .. I thought we had time. But I guess, I was wrong." I choked on my words. "I -- nev-- never got to say how much you mean to me. I am so thankful we met, I am so thankful that we.. loved each other."

"I am so thankful for you. Because even if it was just a short period of time, you are a big part of my life, my existence." Were tears falling from my eyes?

"I'm sorry it took a long time for me to come and visit you here." I said. "I was never ready to face you .. like this." Dead. I was never ready to face you dead.

I started playing with the grass, twirling them in between my fingers. I then looked at her. "Remember the promise I gave you?"

I smiled. "I thought I can never do it, I thought I can never get over on what happened, but guess what."

I can't help but grin. "I found her."

"She may look like you but I --"

I felt hands were placed on my shoulders.
