Never had Kelly ever thought there was such a thing as vampires, werewolves and whatnots.
She had, like many girls her age, indulged in fantasies of a dark, handsome man sweeping her off her feet and claiming her as his. She had however never thought she would actually get to meet one of those oh-so-fancied men. The idea never even crossed her mind that she too, one day, would be –just like those girls she had read about so much– thrown into a world so different from hers, it would be all she could do to cling to her sanity.
She had also not expected him to be such a taciturn man.
It was not the typical romance with roses and sweet words, it was a much more dangerous one, one she had no wish to give in to.
