Do my poems have to be new?
Unlike the Watty Awards, you can submit both old or new poems. There is no date requirement!
How do I submit my poem?
Head on over to http://www.wattpad.com/attys and enter the tier that you would like to join.
Where is the Attys category? Do I have to tag my work?
You must submit your poems via http://www.wattpad.com/attys and make sure you categorize your entries under “Poetry” before submitting.
Do I have to be from the US, UK or Canada to join?
You can be from any country, as long as your entries are in, or translated to, English.
How old do I have to be to participate in the Attys?
Any Wattpad user, 13 years of age and older, may submit an entry in the Attys!
What’s the difference between Competitors and Enthusiasts?
There are two participation tiers in the Attys: Competitors and Enthusiasts. Collections entered into the Competitors tier will be judged. Single poems entered into the Enthusiasts tier will not be judged.
Do votes count? What about reads and comments?
Votes, reads and comments are not taken into consideration in the Attys. Winners of the Enthusiasts tier will be chosen at random, while winners of the Competitors tier will be hand picked by our Judging Panel together with our head judge, Margaret Atwood.
Who are the judges?
A distinguished judging panel comprised of 10 diverse international judges will be compiling a shortlist of the 10 best collections. This shortlist will then be forwarded to honorary head judge Margaret Atwood, who will be selecting the final winners.
How do I stand out in the Competitors tier?
Collections will be judged on their overall impact and quality, so we encourage everyone to submit a good variety of poetic forms to really showcase their talent.
Which poetic forms do I have to use? Do I have a choice?
The Wikipedia link on the Attys page offer just a few examples of poetic forms you can use. You are free to choose any recognized poetic form, as long as you indicate these clearly in your titles.
