Chapter 7

 Leah’s POV

My eyes landed on a book across the room. Divergent by Veronica Roth. Sounds like a good book to sit down and read to. I got off my bed and started walking to it when the hair on the back of my neck stood up. James. I knew he was nearby, my cat was trying to claw her way out to him in my room. But I couldn’t go out there and see him, my hand was still tingling at the place where he held my hand. I started to read the book and after some time has passed, I knew it was time to face my demons. With a heavy heart, I wiped the tears off of my face and faced the bookcase that lead to the closet and thus my room. I will make it so that he will hate me so much that he will flee to his own kingdom and only then will I have revenge on this so called James. My cat whined in protest as soon as I thought this, but it needed to be done. I needed to get rid of him and protect my kingdom from this rapist.

I walked to the bookcase and pulled out a book and pressed a button that pulled up the bookcase and opened to my closet. Once in my closet I knew that my clothes masked my scent to indicate that I was now in my room. I looked through my closet door slats and saw him…. Asleep on my bed. It was dark outside with the moon high up in the sky. He must have fallen asleep waiting for me. My inner cat whined and begged to be next to him and I was pretty tired….

James’ POV

I woke up with a body curled next to mine I smelled the sweet Vanilla scent and instantly knew it was Leah my beautiful mate, she was snoring lightly and hugging me with all her might despite being asleep. I knew she would wake up soon but I laid as still as possible so that I could keep staring at her angelic face. But then I felt something near my crotch and realized it was her hand dangerously close to my morning wood. I groaned inwardly. This cannot be happening she’s going to wake up soon to me having a hard on!  I moved my free hand over and tried to conceal it and move it around when her hand moved right on top of my erection and made it become painfully hard. My cat wanted to ravish her then and there but I knew that I couldn’t let her wake up to this I grabbed her hand and slowly tried to move it off of my erection when she woke up. “Huh? What? James?” she looked up into my eyes and then I felt the sparks coming through our hands and knew I was busted. Why does this happen to me? Her eyes turned dark and she jumped off the bed as if it was on fire and yelled at me to get out.

“GET OUT! GET OUT OF MY ROOM RIGHT THIS INSTANT! I DON’T EVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN MATED OR NOT! YOU’RE A FUCKING RAPIST WHO WANTS TO TAKE OVER MY FUCKING KINGDOM AND I WILL NOT LET YOU DO THIS YOU FUCKING HORNDOG! I WILL HAVE YOU THROWN INTO THE DUNGEONS FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME.” Leah screamed through the top of her lungs. God she looks sexy when she’s mad. I couldn’t let her do that though, leave her? She’s my mate. She’s crazy to think I will let her go now that I have found her. My cat threatened to be let out, he didn’t want to be undermined by some female pussy. But I held him in as I walked to the door but not before I grabbed her and hugged her next to me. “I know what I did that night was unforgiveable. But I couldn’t stop my cat from wanting you the second it scented you were in heat.” Leah started trying to get out of my grip but I really needed to let her know everything.

“Leah you are the most beautiful woman I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I only hope you’ll forgive me for what I have done, or at least let me make it up to you. I love you so much it hurts and I’m glad I finally found you. I am no rapist if you really want me to leave, then I will. I just hope you will see that I will do anything for you.” With that I let her go and walked back to my rooms to pack up and go to the Dark Forrest Kingdom and reclaim what is mine.

Leah’s POV

I watched him go all the while everything he said was turning in my mind and my cat was fighting like crazy not to let him go. I crouched onto the floor and wrapped my arms around my knees. Sadness filling my insides and tears washing down my face.  First I lose my parents and now I’m losing James too? But you’re just letting him get away.Shut up Kat who asked you anyways? My Cat, Kat shut herself up and I felt hollow inside, almost as if she left me. My maid suddenly walked in and rushed to my side. She picked me up and laid me down on my bed as she started to wipe my tears. I didn’t even have the heart to push her away or tell her to leave. After some fussing she left me alone and I stayed on the bed contemplating what to do next, call a meeting? Do some paperwork? Visit my parent’s grave? After their funeral I didn’t have the heart to go back, I felt as if it would make things more final. Solid. I changed my clothed and went to the pool I knew nobody would be there and I needed some time to think.

My cat disappeared and I felt even lonelier than ever. But the words kept repeating in my head. “I love you so much. I am no rapist. What I did was unforgiveable.” I just wanted the world to fade away. I wanted to be the one dead in place of my parents. Somehow I ended up in his rooms. He wasn’t there anymore, I could smell the sheets that smelled so much like his scent. But I knew he was already gone, the drawers were empty and left open as well as the closet was empty as well all except a picture of him as a child, he looked so adorable. Just then however I broke down again and my heart broke into a million pieces. Why does he have such a huge effect on me? I hate him for raping me. He is leaving just like I told him to. I am a princess and I have to start acting like one. My kingdom needs me to be strong. And with that, I stood up held my resolve and called a meeting with all of my advisers.
