First time writing on watt pad! I'm still trying to figure this out a bit, so go easy on me...:)

Ch.1

I shifted in my chair, crossing my left leg neatly over with the passing time bringing more anxiety. I took another sip from my glass and polished off the last roll.

"Can I get you anything else mam?" The waiter questioned with a concerned look.

"No, thank you. I'm sure he'll show up soon!" I mustered up a cheery gaze and slumped back into my chair when he passed.

I felt my cheeks growing hot with embarrassment as I noticed a group of waiters laughing and glancing my way, no doubt. I fought the urge to judo kick them in their jaws, imagining I stole the extra roll baskets from the tables in my path before making a dramatic exit to appropriate music. But that was just my imagination, assuming my blind date didn't show up before then, which, I know is not happening...I've been stood up, hung out to dry for all of this restaurant to see. My eyes started pooling with tears, which I laughed off because the alcohol was starting to numb the pain. I texted my friend, bitching about how my date didn't show before I gathered my purse, and my dignity and transported them to the open bar, taking a seat next to a curly headed brown haired lad. It really is a shame I wasted such a killer outfit for some jerk who blew me off. I rested my head between my hands for a solid five minutes untill I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Are you alright babe?" The curly haired guy asked, locking his green eyes onto mine, probably feeling sorry for me.

"It's a pathetic story, very irrelevant...." I said, enjoying having his attention on me. He leaned closer still looking concerned.

"I like stories." he said in his deep voice.
