Mixed In With The Marauders [A Marauders Era Story]

The Werewolf

           After another session of having to focus of Mr. Trebbleton's thoughts and trying to control my power, we set off to our next class; Charms with Professor Flitwick. I'd heard he was a good teacher from Remus, who had this class with us. The fact that Scarlet and I both had this class was great, even though we only have a few together in all. Hopefully our next new powers aren't as insanely noticeable when they come in.

           The rest of our classes flew by easily. The only thing worth mentioning was potions, let's just say James went a little too far trying to impress Lily and ended up pouring dragon acid on the table. Professor Slughorn wasn't exactly impressed, neither was Lily. I'd be lying if I said Sirius and I weren't dying laughing on the floor.

           "Come on Dawn stop daydreaming, we have to get to dinner before Potter shows up." Lily said, clenching her teeth when she said "Potter".

           I smirked, "Can you guys just get married already? All this fake hatred is getting in the way of your love for him." She rolled her eyes and grabbed my arm to pull me through the halls until be got to the Great Hall. James and the other guys weren't here yet so we walked to the Gryffindor table in no rush, that's when I realized something.

          "Hey Lily, where's Scarlet? I haven't seen her since classes ended." Lily shook her head and shrugged. Strange, she must be with the guys.

          Lily and I ate and talked but I couldn't help but wonder where Scarlet and the guys were. It doesn't seem like any of them to skip dinner. They usually couldn't get enough food!

         "Padfoot, why the hell are you holding my hand? Stop it you idiot."

         "I'm just trying to get to the Great Hall faster, Merlin."

         "I want food already!'

         "Shut up Wormtail, you've been saying that for half an hour."

         Lily groaned as I jumped out of seat, "We're over here guys!" Lily glared at me, mumbling something about how I shouldn't have called them over. I rolled my eyes at her, as I noticed the guys coming towards us.

         They all greeted us, included an "Oh hello ladies" from Sirius which I gladly ignored.

         "Hey have you guys seen Scarlet, I haven't seen her since last class." I asked, when they all sat down around us.

        They all shook their heads, looking around at each other. "Actually I was wondering that too, maybe she's in the library or something." Remus said, responding to my question.

        James rolled his eyes, "Of course you'd be wondering that too, whipped already I tell you. You my dear Moony need to understand that not everyone liked books as much as you do."

        Remus blushed responding with how immature James was, which Lily gladly agreed with.

        "Hey guys!" Scarlet said ten minutes later when she finally showed up, "Sorry I'm late, I was in the library."

          We all stared at her, then at Remus, then back at her. "You were seriously in the library? Do you even know what a library is?" I asked, looking at my sister. She rolled her eyes and sat down next to me and Sirius. Which I was happy about because now there was a barrier between me and that pervert.

         "Well onto another topic, I have something to ask the guys. Have you guys ever seen a really big animal at Hogwarts? Looks somewhat like a wolf but bigger with fur a dark brown color?" She's talking about her vision isn't she? The guys looked at each other wide eyed, Remus paling extremely.

        "Why would we know anything about that? And why do you ask?" James said after our group was extremely quiet for a few minutes.

        Scarlet shrugged, "I don't know, you guys have been going her for years now and I thought you might know something about it. I was walked around near Hagrid's hut just the other day and I saw something in the forest. That's what I saw and I was curious."

        "Well it's probably nothing. We don't know anything about it atleast, maybe just ask Hagrid he might know."

        "You sure you don't know anything about something like... A werewolf at the school?" Scarlet asked. The shook their heads. Why is Scarlet asking them this? We already know. Well if the vision serves correctly.

        "I um, I don't think they would allow them here. Well I mean maybe in special circumstances. Or if they know the person well. Or I don't know. I mean how would I? No that wouldn't happen." Remus said, rather quickly.

         "Lily, Scarlet, we should probably go do our homework up in our dorm now. We have that really long essay due for Charms and we need Lily's help, right Scarlet?"

        Scarlet nodded slowly, "Sure I guess so." Lily nodded too, finishing up her food.

        We said good bye to the guys, and walked up to the Gryffindor common room. We actually did end up doing our homework (which did include the extremely long essay) but I was more interesting in finding out with Scarlet was up to earlier...

          I apologize greatly for not updating earlier, I'm not exactly sure when I'm going with this story right now but we'll see how this goes! Thank you to my fans for not giving up on me yet.
