Chapter 3

It’s been two weeks since I met Kristen and I couldn’t get her out my mind. Every time I went to speak to her something totally wrong would come out my mouth making her hate me more that she already does.

I’m lying in bed feeling sorry for myself when my Mommy knocks on my door an lets herself in. “Hey Sweetheart, what’s wrong with you? You’re looking mighty depressed.”

“Nothing much, just feeling like a total ass, that’s all.” She comes over and lays next to me grabbing my hand, giving me support I didn’t know I needed.

“Talk to me, bub. Tell me what’s wrong.”

I take a deep breath and tell her, “ I’ve fallen in love, Mommy , but she’s straight and has a boyfriend and probably hates me as well.”

I told my parents I was gay as soon as I knew what the word meant. They kinda didn’t like it at first but they couldn’t hold it against me since they were both gay as well. They’re cool with it now though, I think it was just the shock. Then to top it all off Blair then come out a few years later. I can tell you those were fun times. Not.

“Okay,” she says. “Why does she hate you.”

“Every time I start to talk to her I get so nervous and I end up saying stuff that is totally inappropriate and she looks at me like I’m weird.”

I look over at her and see she is trying to hold in her laughter but is failing, miserably. “Why are you laughing? It’s not funny. I need her in my life and my mouth doesn’t quite agree with me yet. My future happiness depends on it.” This just makes her laugh harder.

I get up and stomp out of my room into the hall. I can tell that she is following cos she is calling my name but I just ignore her and head to the movie room.

Once I get in there I see Jay and Dana sitting in the front row watching Breaking Dawn. Jeez, give me strength.

“Out of all the movies ever made you guys are watching this. Seriously, Robert Pattinson can’t act worth a damn.” Yeah, I’m lying but they don’t need to know that. I’m just being jealous since her can touch and kiss my woman but I can’t.

“Hey Sam, guess what? I have a surprise for you.” He says excitedly. God , I hate surprises and he knows it.

“Yeah, what is it?” I ask.

“I’m not telling. Go have a look, it’s on the seat in the back row.”

“Fine.” I can’t believe he’s making me walk up all the stairs for this. It’d better be good.

When I get up there and see my surprise I’m shocked. I was not expecting Kristen to be in my house never mind my movie room.

“Hey Sam,” she says to me, motioning me to sit next to her.

“Erm…..Hi. What brings you here. In my house.” I ask hoping she has forgiven me for being an ass.

“I came to see you even though you’re an ass and I don’t like your attitude towards me.”

I blush with embarrassment at that. I can’t believe I would treat her like that when all I want is her to love me back.

I turn towards her so I can see her better. I end up getting caught in her eyes. They are so beautiful. Just like her. Damn, I got it bad.

“I’m really glad you’re here. I’ve been thinking about you a lot and I want to apologise. If you hadn’t noticed already, I have a major crush on you and ever since I met you I haven’t been myself.” The look in her eyes goes from shock to understanding and it gives me courage to do what I’ve wanted to do since I met her.

“Every time I go and try to talk to you crap comes out and then I feel like shit cos all I want to do is tell you how beautiful you are, that when I see you my world feels like it’s been turned upside down, in a good way.”

Right at this moment I feel like I’m on a roll and she has the biggest smile on her face and it shocks me to silence. I just keep staring at her, hoping that she is real and I’m not dreaming this. Her smile doesn’t last long though. She reaches her hand out and looks deep into my soul and I know. I know that one day she will be mine but now isn’t that time.

“I know that you are straight and are with Rob but I was maybe wondering if you could put my crappy attitude behind us and be friends.”

“I would love to be friends with you, Sam, as long as you start being yourself.” I smile at her thinking that I would so anything she asks me to as long as she was in my life.

“Cool,” I say to her as I turn back around to watch the movie, still having my hand held by Kristen.

Just as the movie was ending, my phone goes off in my pocket. “Sorry,” I say to Kristen, having let go of her hand. I look at the Caller ID and see that it’s the day manager of the Club. “Yeah, Mike. What’s up?”

“Erm sorry Boss, but when I got here I found that the place was trashed. All the bottles and glasses are smashed all over, the tables and chairs all over the place and graffiti on the walls.”

“Shit, did you call the cops?” Great, this is the third time in two years the place has been trashed. Some people are not into the LGBT and think a way to solve the problem is to trash my bar.

“Yeah Boss, that’s why I called. They wanted to speak with you.” Damn, I’m gonna have to leave Kristen now.

“Be there in twenty.” I say then hang up. I look over at Kristen and she smiles at me telling me she understands. “I need to go.” I tell her.

“Okay, sure. Erm…here’s my number. Call me and we can get together and hang out.” She says as she types her number in my phone. OMG, I actually have her number. I’m so glad she can’t read minds cos I’m jumping up and down like a kid at Christmas.

“Yeah, I will. I’ll see you later.” I head out the movie room in search of one of my moms. They will have to come with me cos my name isn’t on the lease.

I head over to their side of the house and see them half naked having a heavy make out session on the sofa. Just to let you guys know, it doesn’t matter if your parents are both woman, it’s still gross to see them making out.

“Dude, get a room.” I say to them as they jump apart.

“For your information, ‘dude’, we did get a room. Now what do you want. I was trying to get into your Mommy’s pants,” she jokes.

“That was an image I really didn’t need in my head.” I shudder. They just laugh. “The club got trashed again, so, no nookie for you guys.” I joke back.

“Okay, you drive though, we had a few glasses of wine with lunch,” my Momma tell me.
