This is a one shot of Dennis and Allie's date in Slim_Shady's "The Bad Boy, Cupid & Me". If you haven't read it, go read it! It's fandabbydozy.

This is the first (and possibly last) time I've written anything other than essays and short stories for school, which I've not done for over a year. So my writing's a bit stiff..

Dedicated, of course, to the beautiful Hasti :)

Driving into the restaurant's car park, I parked the car at the nearest available parking space to the entrance. My eyes rolled over to where the red digits below the dashboard read "17:56". I took a deep breath in and pulled the key out of the ignition. This is it, I thought, as I wiped my sweaty palms on my skirt. I couldn't understand why I was so nervous, it was just a date.

I snorted, unattractively may I add. Just a date. This was Dennis- one of the fittest guys at school!

Dennis! He was probably inside the restaurant right now waiting for me to show up, while I sat here having a mental debate with myself.

My eyes shot over to the clock again. Five fifty-eight. I quickly checked my reflection in the rear-view mirror to make sure I had no mascara smudges, grabbed my clutch bag, and exited the car, locking the door before stuffing my keys into the bag.

I hurried over to the entrance of The Pizza Palace ignoring the cold air that surrounded me, making me feel as though little pins were gently prickling my exposed skin. As soon as stepping in, I scanned the large room for my date.

I shuffled my feet slightly before reluctantly making my way towards Dennis, who was seated at a table at the side of the restaurant. I smiled slightly when I noticed he was wearing a deep blue V-neck sweater which hugged his perfect torso. V-necks are sexy.

His eyes suddenly met mine and slowly, a gorgeous smile lit up his face. I reached the table just in time for him to get up. I noted his cheeks turning a light pink colour as he gently took my right hand in his and pecked my knuckles, keeping his brown eyes locked onto my blue ones. I blushed and looked away, smiling at how cute he was. "Hi."

"Hey," I said.

"You look beautiful tonight," Dennis complimented, staring at me intensely. I looked away, blushing again and ginned cheesily, nodding my head in thanks. I froze, stopping myself mid-nod. Oh God, that's so embarrassing. "Thanks," I replied, bowing my head sheepishly instead. "You're looking really good yourself", I admitted. My eyes skimmed over his V-neck once again, then slid up to examine his blonde hair, which was neatly styled as opposed to his usual messy hair-do.

We both sat down in time for the waitress to arrive and take our order.

Things were going well. After Dennis payed for the food, we both got up to leave. To my surprise, Dennis quickly grabbed my bag from the table and stood before me waiting for me to pull on my jacket. It took a lot of willpower to stop myself from exclaiming "aww" as we walked away, with him trailing behind me like a cute lost puppy, still holding my bag in one hand. When I tried to take it off him, he grabbed my hand instead, his eyes not leaving my face as I looked away. I could feel my face burning which could only have meant that the colour of my face resembled that of my hair.

Get a grip and stop acting like a child, I scolded myself internally, he's only holding your hand!

"Do you need me to drop you off?" he asked once we were outside.

"No thanks, I drove myself here."

"Where's your car?"

I pointed to where my baby was parked. "Right there."

He nodded. "Come on, let's get you out of the cold."

Lightly tugging on my hand, he led me towards my car. Upon reaching it, I reached out to take my bag from Dennis, unlocked the car door, and threw my bag and keys onto the passenger seat. I spun round and grabbed both his hands in mine.

"Thanks for tonight," I smiled up at him, "It was great!"

His response was to tenderly pull me closer and place a soft kiss on my cheek. When he pulled back, the glow of the street lamps and lights from the restaurant allowed me to catch a slight blush on his cheeks.

What a cutie!

I pulled him back in, wrapping my arms tightly around his neck in an embrace. His arms wound around my waist, hugging me back, as he buried his face into my neck. A couple of seconds later, we pulled back simultaneously. It was hard not to reflect his Cheshire Cat grin.

After a moment or two, I realised that he hadn't, and wasn't going to ask for my number. I frowned. Why?

I immediately started having negative thoughts. Well genius, he doesn't want to see you again, obviously, a taunting voice in my head told me. I probably bored him. Was I not pretty enough? No, Chloe did a good job and I looked amazing, even I had to admit. I sighed. Although I already liked him, there was nothing I could do now.

Well, this was it. "Bye," I muttered, giving him a feeble smile.

"Catch you later," he replied, still grinning widely, oblivious to my change in mood. Why was he so happy?

I got into the car and shoved my keys into the ignition whilst Dennis backed away slightly. I was just about to pull out of the parking space when a tapping on my window stopped me, followed by a muffled, "Allie!"

Dennis. I pressed the button to roll down my window. "Yeah?"

"I forgot to get your number... If that's okay," he said, his pleading eyes wide in anticipation.

So he DOES want my number, I thought smugly. I gave him a warm smile, "Course," I replied happily.

He pulled out his phone from his pocket and handed it over. I quickly tapped in a few digits before placing it back into his hand. After thanking me, he stepping back once again and watched me drive away.

I pulled up outside my house and sighed in contentment. It had gone better than I'd expected. Dennis was perfect. He's sweet, kind, funny, and incredibly attractive. I closed my eyes and immediately his big brown eyes sprung up in my mind. I remembered how they were fixed on mine, unwavering, for the first few minutes. I sat for a while, replaying everything we'd talked about.

Gosh, I was so grateful to Chloe. I truly loved my best friend. It then hit me- Chloe!

I fished out my phone from my bag, and found her name in my "Recents" category. She'd told me to give her a call after the date and tell her how it went.

"Allie! How was it?"
