*****CHAPTER 1 KATIE'S POV****
I sat in the large, circular arm chair. It was tense. I peered over my shoulder to see Harley stood there smirking. I loved him so much. But he was like, horrible to girls. I knew if I let myself fall for him, my life would be over. He would control me. Who I see, who I go out with. I knew this for sure. My ex-best friend, Amy fell for his, curly brown hair, his soft brown eyes, and ended up in a rehabilitation unit in north Carolina. Yeah. I'm not aloud to travel that far alone to visit her. It's a long, long, story. Hard to explain. Harley is so persuasive and you just can't refuse him. He has a way about doing things. In school they tell you 'To smoke is not cool. It's bad for your health' well Harley smokes and he makes it look that cool they tell you it's not.
So i sat there observing him. Watching to see why me, and so many other girls swooned over him, even knowing his past. Let me tell you more about his past girlfriends.
Alexa, was 15 when she dated Harley. She was a straight A student until she begun her dates with Harley. Her grades dropped down to C's and D's. Her father wasn't pleased and sent her away to a boarding school in France.
Jessie, was 16 when she dated Harley. She was an alright student, kept her head down. About two months into dating Harley she had started to smoke, had two tatto's that said 'Harley 4eva mine' and 'LOVE HARLEY' her parents were shocked by this, but it went further she started to drink every night and party until the early hours of the next morning. She was immediately sent to rehab in Spain.
Amy, was 17 and the worst of the bunch. She got hooked on partying, with Harley, as soon as she begun seeing him. She got fined for breaking an entry. When this happened her dad grounded her but she continued to disobey and she partied and partied. Amy's parents and family are often on the covers of newspapers and Amy's mum, Rose-Anne, is partial royalty. I know, but she's very distant, but still anything scandalous happens their front page. So Amy's party phase was headlines most mornings. One morning I picked up the sun newspaper and saw she was in a gutter with a black and bruised face, and puke all over her. She had done it now, her dad then sent her to rehab in North Carolina.
So you get the idea. There are many many more girls like that who dated him for no more than three months and ended up in rehab, or a boarding school. But I love him so much! He's like an amazing singer, who plays at gigs and gets me and my friend Ellie free tickets and fake ID's. Although we are both almost 18 now. But he's been seeing this girl called Lid. She stunning and amazing and totally smart, so I dunno why she's dating him. But it's probably the same reason as me. He's just so damn DREAMY! Anyway back to the point, Harley was sat across from me in the food hall, at our school. Ellie was new and didn't know the terrors and things Harley had caused. She fancied him too. She was busily chatting about going to the gig tonight in Leeds. We were all excited because living just outside of London, none of us had been to Yorkshire before. We were getting a coach straight from school on Friday. Then, staying in a hotel Friday night. Shopping Saturday daytime, and the concert was Saturday night. We were going to travel home Sunday.
Lid was with Harley and people envied her beauty, and the fact she was traveling by Harley's private jet to the concert. Harley had offered us to go with him, but we thought it would be weird, because he's not dating either of us! So as I watched Harley and Lid together, Ellie blabbed on how, the rumours were that Harley was going to dump Lid and date a 'Mystery Woman' I knew it wouldnt be either of us. I think he just liked to have us on his arm. Like back up singers, kind of.
