"Serenity, we're leaving in a little less than half an hour for the concert," Connor hollered up the stairs.

I smiled as I stared at the cute spaghetti-strap sundress hanging in front of me that Connor had bought for me. I happily slipped into the beautiful blue article of clothing. I admired the way the dress fit me. It looks better now than it did when I tried it on at the store. The only thing is the straps are a little big for my shoulders.

I turned around to look at the straps in the mirror to see if they were the adjustable straps. Nope. Okay, I guess I'll deal with it.

Enough about the dress, Serenity! You're leaving soon and haven't even started fixing your hair!

I walked down the hall to the bathroom where my curling iron was heating up. I could feel the heat that was being emitted by the iron so I could tell that it was ready for use.

I took my time when curling my hair. Everything needed to be perfect. So when I was wrapping my hair around the iron, I made sure it was wrapped in the way it would give me my favorite spiral curl I loved. Once my hair was how I wanted it, I took a look in the mirror. I saw my a few areas of acne. I don't know how on earth it survives my acne cream I put on every night, but it demands to stay. So, I figured it wouldn't hurt if I applied a little mascara. As I did so, I thought it would be a bad idea to add some colour to my cheeks. I checked in the mirror and saw that I looked at least decent.

Connor watched my every movement as I descended the stairs.

"Wow, you look amazing!" he commented when I reached the bottom of the stairs.

Thank you, I smiled. This night can't get any better. I'm going to a concert to my favorite artist (well other than my all time favorite ;) with my super sweet boyfriend who made this possible!

"Well, I guess we better be hitting the road if we don't want to be late for the concert," Connor clapped his hands together. I nodded in agreement as we headed towards the door.

Thank goodness my mom wasn't home because she'd be gushing about how cute we look together and make it seem like we were going to prom (thank goodness prom's already out of the way. I about died of embarrassment).

I took Connor's arm he offered to me and we walked to the car. Being the gentleman he is, yes, he opened my door for me.

You don't look too bad yourself, I signed as I was strapping in my seat belt.

"Why thank you," Connor smiled. I smiled back in response. You'd think that my mouth would hurt from all this smiling around him.

Connor pulled the car out the driveway and drove a few minutes before turning on the radio. Whatever song that had been on before just went off as he turned the radio up. Lucky us, we got stuck with the commercials.

"I honestly love that song," one of the DJ's hosting the station commented a little too perkily. "She Looks So Perfect is just Perfect." There was a brief session of laughter.

"And they're performing here in just a few hours!" another one added. "The excitement is building!"

"What are you most excited about, Kristin?" Perky DJ asked.

"Everything overall!" the DJ who was apparently named Kristin exclaimed. "But I bet I could tell the most exciting part of the night for the fans."

"And what would that be?" the Perky DJ asked. I'm guessing she already knew the answer by the hint of playful giddiness in her voice as she asked, but this was a type of skit all radio hosts did to keep their listeners interested. Well, I can definitely say it worked on me.
