"What if we do this instead..." Tyler mumbled, thinking about different moves to incorporate into the choreography.
"What if they don't like it..." Derek said quietly.
"Shut up! Stop doubting us, damn..." Andrew said, irritated.
"Guys, we have to stay positive. Positivepositivepositive." Lionell panicked.
"Y.I.A Crew to the stage." the producer announced.
"OH MY LORD JESUS, THAT'S US." Aiden exclaimed.
"No shit, Sherlock..." Tyler laughed.
"Lex, why're you so quiet?" Andrew asked me.
"Nervous.." I managed to say, walking up the black steps to the stage.
We all walked to the middle.
"Hello Y.I.A..." Lil Mama smiled.
"Hi." we all said quietly.
"So you'll be performing to..." J.C waited for a response.
"Massive Attack by Nicki Minaj." Derek said quickly.
All of the judges nodded, sitting back.
We walked quickly to our positions.
I looked up at the big ABDC 6 sign.
'It's Barbie, bitches...' I heard the song start.
We all started the routine.
From the corner of my eye, I saw different crews watching us.
I ignored them and continued to focus on the routine.
When we were finished, everyone clapped.
I breathed out, smiling.
I saw the judges whisper something to each other.
They all nodded.
"So I think we have our decision." D-Trix smiled, getting out the call-back envelope.
I heard the boys gasp.
My eyes widened.
"Welcome to ABDC 6." they all smiled.
And this is how it all started.
My crew, Y.I.A, otherwise known as Young.Inspirational.
&Ambitious. made it onto the show America's Best Dance Crew.
We were blessed enough to be one of the 10 crews competing for the $25,000 and the title.
The oldest crew member is Derek, or dK, who is 17.
The second-oldest is Andrew, or Andreezy, who is 16.
The third is Aiden, who is 15.
The fourth, Lionell, or Young Lion, who is 14.
The fifth is Tyler, or as I like to call him Tyler the Creature:3 he's 14.
And then theres me, Lex.
I'm the youngest out of all the boys; 12.
We were running around the stage happily.
"OH MY GOD, THANK YOU SO MUCH!" I exclaimed, taking to call back envelope.
We ran out of the building, and into the Warner Brothers parking lot.
"WE MADE IT!!!!!" Tyler yelled, hugging Lionnell.
The other crews were looking at us weirdly.
Aukai Cain, our choreographer, walked up to us.
"How'd it go?"
"WE MADE IT!" Andrew yelled.
"OHMYGOD, THIS IS UNREAL." Lionnell exclaimed.
Aukai laughed,"Congratulations guys! But I heard there was another kid crew who got onto season 6."
"What? Who?" I asked.
"I think they're called the ICONic Boyz.."
And this is where it all changed.
