Prologue

It was a bright sunny day in England and you were still asleep.
"Duchess F/N it is time to wake up." Your maid Mari said.
"What if I don't want to?" You asked.
"You have to your parents want to see you." Mari informed.
"Fine where's my outfit?" You asked.
"Right here." Mari said holding a red dress.
You put on the red dress and red flats.
Mari opened the door.
"They are in the dining area." Mari said.
"Thank you." You said with a smile.
You and Mari walked to the dining hall.
"You are dismissed." Your dad said.
Mari bowed and exited.
"F/N we have an announcement." Your dad said.
"What is it?" You asked.
"We are attending a ball." Your mom said.
"What? Why?" You asked.
"Earl Phantomhive is throwing the ball." Your mom added.
"Ciel!?" You replied shocked.
Your parents nodded.
"So you might want to get ready." Your dad said.
"Mari!" You called.
"Yes Duchess F/N?" Mari asked.
"I need to get ready for a ball." You said.
"Yes." She said. "I will prepare a dress right away Duchess." Mari said with a bow.
You got up and pushed in your chair and followed Mari.
"What color would you prefer?" Mari asked.
"F/C would be preferable." You answered.
"As you wish Duchess." Mari said.
You smiled. "Mari why don't you smile?" You asked.
"I have just been thinking." Mari said with a sigh.
You didn't want to pry so you let it be.
"Aha this is the perfect dress." Mari said holding it.
You smiled brightly. "Yes it is." You said.
"I can't wait to see Ciel." You said.
Mari giggled. "You seem to have a liking to the Earl Phantomhive." Mari said with a smirk.
"He's my best friend." You said.
"I think there's something more." Mari said.
"Nope." You said and finished getting ready.

"F/N are you ready?" Your mom asked.
"Yes." You said.
"You look wonderful Duchess." Mari said.
"Thank you." You said.
Mari opened the door and you walked out.
"You look adorable." Your mom said.
"Yes you do and we have to leave." Your dad said.
"Mari should come since she is my maid." You said.
"Mari would you like to?" Your dad asked.
"I would be honored." Mari said.
All of you got into the carriage and you waited impatiently to get to the manor.
"We are here Duchess F/N." Mari said.
You were nervous now. The driver opened the door.
You looked and you saw Ciel and his butler.
You ran to Ciel.
"Ciel." You said with a smile.
"Do I know you?" He asked.
You were hurt. "You don't remember me?" You asked.
"I remember you well Duchess F/N." Ciel said.
You smiled brightly.
"Young Master why don't you and Duchess F/N catch up for awhile." His butler said.
"We should I'll be back soonSebastian." Ciel said.
"We should head to the garden." You said.
"Alright." Ciel said and lead the way.
