Rosie quickly hurried down the deserted street. She was heading to the 7th street Bridge. ’What an odd place to meet up' she thought to herself as she walked. What if this was a joke? What if Leo was just messing with Rosie? She quickly shook her head as she walked. She stopped at the 7th street Bridge and skipped to under it and there she saw him. Standing in all his glory, hair perfectly gelled up, his green eyes sparkling, and a smirk laid on his perfect lips. She walked over to him and he pulled her into a hug. She stood frozen in his arms. He pulled away suddenly. “oh sorry reflex" he said as he scratched the back his neck. She just smiled before she gave him a quick peck on the cheek. “It’s fine" She said as she pulled away from him. She looked around; being under the bridge where there use to be a river wasn't actually a good place to have a date." So this where we're gonna hang out?" Rosie asked, she avoided the word date since she really didn't know what this was.

" nope this is where we're suppose to meet" Leo said before he grabbed Rosie's hand before they started walking out from under the bridge.

“Where are we going?" Rosie asked as they walked.

“it’s a surprise" Leo replied and smiled at her. Rosie blushed as she noticed their hands were still intertwined. Leo seem to notice but it wasn't like she was trying to get out of his grasp, so he just held her delicate hand in his. They quickly walked hand in hand to an abandoned building. “What are we doing here?" Rosie asked.

“don’t worry Rosie" Leo replied and led her inside the abandoned building.

They walked inside the building and they walked up about ten flights of stairs. Leo pushed past the security door and led them both out to the roof. Rosie looked around and noticed a blanket laid on the floor. “I thought we could just hang out and talk" Leo said as he led her to the blanket. They both sat down and just stared at the city below them. “It’s such a nice view" Rosie said mesmerized by the city. “Yeah I come up here to think sometimes" Leo said as he glanced at the ground. Rosie saw the sadness and anguish glint in his eyes. Something was bothering him and Rosie couldn't come to a conclusion. “Are you alright?" Rosie asked and he shook his head. He looked up and a faint smile was playing on his lips. “Do you have a secret that you couldn't tell anyone, a secret that wasn't yours to tell" he said and they just stared at each other. She did have the secret of having her brother and best friend in a gang she could never join. She slowly nodded and he broke eye contact to look out into the city. “It’s like I'm torn between staying and just leaving" Leo said. Rosie put her hand over his and she gave him a weak smile. " I just want to run and never look back, start new" He whispered and Rosie nodded. “sometimes I feel that way but I have no where to run to" Rosie said and looked out towards the city. A laugh broke through Leo's lips. “What a great way to start a date” he said and laughed even more. That had broken through the sadness in the air. Rosie blushed as he said ' Date'. “Yeah get through the sad stuff then get to the fun stuff" she said and smiled. He moved closer to her and she laid her head on his shoulder. “Favorite color?" he asked and Rosie looked up at him.

"Orange" She replied. He scrunched up his face in disgust and she giggled. "Not any regular orange like the orange on a sunset a soft orange" she replied and he rolled his eyes.

"Deep thinking I like it" he said and she playfully shoved his arm.

"What's yours?" she asked him. He looked deep in thought before he answered.

"A really solid red, blood red" He said and Rosie stood frozen. Blood, like the blood that surrounded Lydia's lifeless bodied. The blood, that once flowed through her dead parents. The blood that seems to rush to her cheeks every time she thought of Leo. She shook her head and turned back to Leo. He laughed and shook his head. "you probably think I'm a killer or something" he said in what was suppose to be humor but he said that last part in a bitter tone but Rosie didn't seem to notice. " so when did you find this spot?" I asked and he smiled. "When my sister and I were younger we just roamed the streets and just magically found this place" Leo said and smiled. "You must love your sister" I said and he grimaced.

"I wish our relationship could be better but i don't think she evens wants me as a brother" Leo said and Rosie gasped. "Don't say that, She loves you no matter what" Rosie said and Leo let out a humorless laugh. "she sure has a hard way of showing it" Leo said and Rosie just shook her head. "Deep down no matter how deep" Rosie Said and Leo rolled his eyes. “Again with this deep stuff" Leo said and she playfully pushed his shoulder. “Whatever" Rosie muttered, before she stared yet again at the city below. “Do you have brothers or sisters?" Leo asked and Rosie nodded. “an older brother" Rosie replied. “so I'm probably gonna get my butt kicked if I ever meet him" Leo said in a playful tone. Rosie laughed but in the back of her mind, it was actually true. Zeke would most likely kick his butt. "He's a good person but very protective of me" Rosie said and Leo laughed. " I'll be six feet under when you decide you want to rescue me" Leo said and Rosie laughed. “if I want to save you" Rosie said and He gasped." you can't resist me" He said and she rolled her eyes. “I’m your dreams lover boy" Rosie said and he winked. “only in your dreams" he said and she laughed. She tackled him and she landed on top of him. “ha I’d rather die" she said and smirked. “I think this is how the dream starts" he said and she blushed. She quickly got off of him and he just smiled at her. " aww what's wrong my little Rosie" he said and she glared at him. “I’m not little" she said and he smiled. “you’re little to me" he said and put his arm around her shoulder. She blushed even more as he got closer to her. “I like this Rosie" he whispered in her ear, making goose bumps rise on her skin. “I like this too" she said as they both stated at the city. Yes being normal is what Rosie wanted. No worrying about her brother or Venus. Not knowing about Gang drama. Deep down Rosie just wanted a family, her mom and dad, living in a nice suburban home, and just being normal. She laid her head on Leo's shoulder and just smiled. If she couldn't have her family then she would just have to have a boyfriend by her side.
