The moment I laid my eyes on my mate, I instantly felt the spark my father had been telling me about since I was a kid. The connection between us was undeniably strong. It was like we were two sides of a coin, never to be separated. She was beautiful and her transformation was over. The last time I saw her, her hair was still black, but now it was dirty blond. The transformation will do that. Change your hair color, soften your skin, everything, until you look perfect. They thought only vampires look perfect, another conspiracy our ancestors made to keep our existence hidden from mortals.

I felt my inside tingle with excitement and desire as my wolf took in the new information and took in the appearance of her long lost mate. He was waiting for this day to come from day one. Waiting for his mate to be revealed, but none of us thought it would be Schuyler Alexis Martel, my first love. I hoped but never really thought of it as reality. I’ve loved her since I was a kid. My mother would always tell me stuffs about her and give me her photos. We’ve been in the same school since who-knows-when, but I never had the courage to tell her or even just to talk to her. So I just chose to pretend that I never acknowledged her existence and that I’m not interested in her, well in fact, it was actually the opposite. I’ve always harbored a secret passion, secret desire for her. I notice even the smallest thing she does. The way she’ll pout her lips when she thinks, when she twitch her lips when she’s annoyed, even the way she moves her feet when she’s nervous. Now I’ve finally understood my obsession towards her. Somehow, deep inside my consciousness, I knew she was my mate.

But then I remembered my hate towards her over protective brother, Stephan. He’s one of the reasons why I never stood a chance with Schuyler. And I hate him so much for that. And also because of he’s annoying attitude when his around people. He thinks he dominate the school, the being an Alpha of a pack, others should follow his orders. He talks about our pack like we’re nothing! He’s wrong, without us, they’ll be nothing. And without our protection they’ll be gone by now. They owe us a lot, but as time passes by, slowly they’re starting to forget where they stood.

But Schuyler is different from her stupid brother. One thing I adore about her, is she doesn’t use her title to overpower wolves and mortals. ‘Being an Alpha’s daughter is a pleasure, but at the same time is a burden. Most wolves think of me as a Princess, they don’t understand that I’m just like them.’ I heard her say once to her friends.

She must have taken my hatred for her brother the wrong way. She thought it was her that I was looking at with so much hatred. But she can never be more wrong. I’d had love her ever since. Actually, I want to tell the whole world that she was my mate. But I know she would not allow that, she loves her brother so much to acknowledge that we’re destined to be together.

During her birthday party, she had made that clear. She had thought I was doing this to get back on her brother. My Love, she’s wrong. I love her so much; I can never use her for my own benefits. But she’ll never believe me if I’d tell her.

Two months had passed after we found out the truth about us. And now is the second month of their training with us. Stephan had been pissed when he found out that he's going to training under me. He hates the feeling of being under your adversary. But Schuyler had kept a natural front. Completely ignoring the fact that every time our skin touched, tingles were sent throughout our bodies.

"The training today is harder than the ones we had before. Today's lesson is a breath-taking one. Literally, cause if you did not pass this, you might end up being killed." Few gasps were heard from the group of trainees. but I kept talking. "You'll be encountering the only thing that can harm-- if not kill--- us. Silver bullets." The trainees looked at us, scared. Silver bullets are wolves greatest threat. Nothing can harm us but his little guys.
