THE MIDNIGHT SUN

The road was narrow

Vision was blurry

Pot-holes formed a regular pattern;

Giving the road a patterned design.

He was on a top-speed;

Maybe for dinner, he had weed;

The spinning of the tyres showed he loved gin

He needed caution

But received insults, not to mention

"where are we going?"; I yelled

Not on the way to hell, I guess

All of this fell, but on deaf ears

As my eyes were soaked with tears

Or should I say it was fear??

I felt like we were flying

Others yelled---we were dying

Oh! They were lying

I noticed, even in a short notice

As we all tumbled thrice

And found a nesting place;

Beneath a trailer

Oh! What a thriller.

I can tell as these

Because of my saving grace---

The name "JESUS"
