In my mind's eye

I see us walking barefoot

On a soft carpet

Of blue and gold

Through a forest

Of untold beauty.

A Unicorn drinks

From a crystal stream,

While happy rabbits

Play with siblings.

Bluebirds chirp

And multi-hued butterflies

Dance on a summer breeze,

Delicate fairies

Play sweet songs

On golden harps.

Suddenly;

A strident voice

Shatters the calm:

"Will you stop bloody daydreaming, and go put the trash out!!!!!"

Ah well, they do say marriage is an institution!
