Maybe it was just a nightmare. His eyes instantly went to his stomach. The bump was still there, rubbing the soft slightly strained skin. Not once did anyone would think this would happen. Especially to him. Although, as his hands rub the bump happiness fills him. Shifting the weight of the bump as he moves onto his side. A wave of sadness coats him. Homesickness follows. Tears threaten to fall down as the memory of being kicked out just a short few months ago fills his mind.
Kicked out before his story was even told. Assumptions were made in his own home, somewhere they weren't even expected. Thankfully, a close friend offered to share their small apartment.
Forcing his eyes shut he tried to sleep. Nowadays it would take forever to fall asleep. Maybe it would be easier if he had someone to depend on. Make everything safe and okay. Luke just needed someone to depend on like his baby depended on him.
