15th August 1999.
She was just another newborn who had been introduced to the existence of earth.
Her mother looked down at the baby she cradled, in admiration, affection and love. An unnatural feeling of protectiveness washed over her, as she studied the baby's features.
She let out a small cry, and the mother smiled in relief, exhausted from labour. The baby's face had the biggest brown eyes she'd ever seen - the most adorable as well. The brown eyes were flecked with green specks, in courtesy of the father. Her eyelids fluttered, staring up at the mother. Small blonde ringlets were visible, and her plump cheeks made her cuter, if that was even possible. A small button nose adorned her face, as she let out a tiny squeal as her mother kissed her nose, affectionately.
Her father scooped her up gently, in the pink blankets she was wrapped in. He prayed that he wouldn't drop her, almost panicking as he held her. She was as light as a feather. Green eyes met brown, as their eyes were drawn to each other.
He couldn't believe that he had made this baby. She was beautiful, despite the fact that she was only minutes old. Such a small creature already had him wrapped around his fingers.
He vowed to himself that he would never let anything get in the way of his daughter's life.
And thus, Ashleigh Charlotte Lockwood was a new addition to the world's population.
