Normal POV

Jae McAllister had a happy life when she was young, but that all changed when she was 6. Her mother had gotten cancer, and when she died a few days after Jae's 7th birthday, things went downhill. Jae's father began to drink, beating Jae when he was very intoxicated. Jae didn't go to school until she was in 6th grade, and had her aunt paying for it since her dad didn't care. Everyday when she went to school her father forced her to wear a hoodie and pants, along with makeup to hide the bruises and scars he'd given her. She cringed every time she looked in the mirror, wondering how life went from amazing and carefree to beatings and drinking. Jae thought that her problems were only at home, but she was wrong. She was so so so very wrong. Her pain had only just begun.
