Infinity
A second shifted me.
Between dark sky and grey sea.
Standing, legs in water lapping
The universe came tapping
And invited me
To partake of infinity.
In just the smallest atom blink,
I felt a universal link.
It was so swift and wide and bold
And passed before I could take hold.
Yet I knew what I did see
Was a vast profundity.
Everything, no more, no less,
Encompassed in complete oneness.
It's as if an unseen hand
Had plucked me from this earthly land
To a place so unrestrained
I felt a lifetime had been gained.
