Let's pretend I'm someone different,
Someone who's not very good -
Someone who tells you this story:
"There must be a witch in the wood."
The witch saw us when we went walking,
And thought of love, once in her eyes,
She dreamed of night lanterns and kissing
A young man who fell from the sky.
She shivered and threw out some dream dust
That wound into spring's twilit air,
And I caught the deep and the dark dreams,
And you caught the light and the fair.
Now many the wishes that haunt me
Of places I'd be if I could,
Many the dreams that still taunt me,
And all for a walk in the wood.
