Thank you.
To my friends and my family, and all of those in between
I haven't been through much, and I'm only fifteen
But thank you for making sure I don't end up in a fraudulent scheme.
Thank you for listening, for caring, for being there
During times that I'm drowning, loss of hope and full of despair
During all the times that I'm living in very real life nightmare.
Thank you for staying by my side, if only for a while
When walking a day in my shoes becomes a wandering roman mile
And my most precious possessions are in a locked computer file.
Thank you for listening when I had something important to say
Or when my life in unraveled by beliefs gone astray
When my friends are beaten for coming out as gay.
Thank you for supporting me
When my life is turned over by a federal decree
For unlocking my secrets like an old skeleton key.
Thank you to those who know all my hidden tales
And thank you to those who witness my most epic of fails
Thank you for not judging if I'm with a man or a female.
Thank you to the people I've lost who all taught me a lesson I'd never forget
And thank you to memories of which I can never regret.
Thank you to my friends, my family, and all of those in between
If it weren't for you I could never be, me.
