Evergreen and snow capped the mountain and fields.

It was a week before the coronation of Aurelius. Soon he would graduate from university with his Master and adopt his own royal duties. And it was something he's thinking really hard about. He have always feel like he didnt belong in their family. Different ways of thinking, different personality

He didn't really abide by their social norm.

The family notice it

the another aristocrats notice it. The lack of burden fall on his shoulder, the utter disregard of their rules and reminders and it sets their teeth on the edge. After all, how do you chain someone who barely have any attachment?

Aurelius knows it the most.

He will only place his loyalty and himself at mercy to people who have proven to be trust worthy. Court life, diplomatic ties, politics are those that requires responsibility and expert maneuvering.

So he laid there, half buried in the snow, the partial dense element absorb the slightest sound

and the coldness of it.

Tinge his skin in the most pleasant way for him. He wanted a quiet time and had escape as soon as he have breakfast. He was trying for some quiet time and laying in the snowy forest gives the peace he needed.

It was like the distance sound of snow fall into an empty tunnel. Then came the slow vibration that you feel tickling your finger tip. He heard it, as if some creature was slithering under the ground. He could feel something watching him, it's eye on his back. Its gaze ancient, old and ravenous.

His eyes open wide in alarmed and fear.

It was far deep under, but there was something about the size that makes it noticeable despite being so deep underground.

It was massive.

He sprang up in haste and sprinted into a run across the snow fields. He needed to breech through the veil from his world to the human one immediately. He need to reach the hotel where his family were residing. Something is angry that it was forced to slumber for such a long time.

His long platinum hair flying haphazardly behind him as he gathered his ability. It came like breathing, ready to went through the veil. They were like stars dying, absorbing particles nearby before imploding, change. Like the star, it changed him as well. The snow are melting, the creatures are coming out.

He ran and just like that he pierce through the world's fabric and arrived not far from their lodging. It was an ability many of his kind has.

Just a few minutes walk to the hotel. It was nearly night time.

Introduction

His race came before time. Where desert and the sea are one. The skies seems like merely another place to set foot on. The gravity and colours defies logic of the mind that current human has. After all, how can you describe colours to a person born blind?

Strange creatures, some habituate two realm at the same time roamed the Earth. Where luminescence plant and animals live their lives. Everything during that time was alien, ethereal beauty. Now he lay trapped, though his mind were preserved, his body barely comprehend the current Earth. It had withered, diminished into husk. Immortality, for his kind is nothing but endless long suffering.

Among the few things he knew about magic is that the scenery in front of him at the moment is the personification of it. The sun and the moon stood side by side as if an invisible scale weight them. The stars everywhere spilling like rushing river. The tinge of colours that accompanies the sun could barely hide them. The celestial bodies spread across the sky that has been dyed with midnight blue tinted orange and unpainted shades when the two clash. Snow blankets everything. From roofs of shops and houses, trees to miles of mountains mercilessly.

He had came here today after days of locked in his room trying to process the new world. He had spend millennia asleep when suddenly he woke up. He wanted a hot drink to slides across his taste bud and warm his body after staying in a cold temperature far past the warmth that his world used to provide. However, like he was entranced he allow his feet to take him pass the window to the outside balcony with no protective clothing on him. His species has no problem with cold temperature but they are not fond of it, but right at this moment? He could not careless if it gave away suspicions that he might not be human. He had drank in the ethereal scenery with thirst. The room was warm with regulated temperature, he missed any kind of heat considering where he is from but out here, with the heat warming his back made him realise something. Weeks since he had awaken from his slumber, he realise how much he had forgotten to appreciate the life he had been granted.

He snapped from his stupor. Perhaps he should do his relaxing outside. The slumber and the time he had spent travelling around the world to catch up with knowledge had left him numb. All he wanted now was to feel the cold wind against his skin. He contemplate if he should grab his winter coat. It was a culture of theirs. To gift their love ones with clothing and food. One that is embodied with special meaning or memories after all is the best. It was considered as a courting ritual up to one point and It was his brother who gifted it to him. The one who took the mantle of ruler, who had resist his slumber just to take care of the whole species. There aren't many of the older ones now.

Both the human world and his called them vampire. They did not bothered to correct them.

His gaze strayed to the figure walking with slight haste across the snow. It was far, but he could see the cold air coming from the mouth. Slender figure with slight lithe muscles. More for agility instead of fighting. Platinum hair trail behind the figure.

A male, he realised.

Human? He wondered as he stared in curiosity. He realised the man had some how escape his sight earlier and suddenly appeared. As the man draw closer he watched closely. The nearly white hair matched his complexion but shades of snowflake grey existed.

The man must have been so caught up, to only realised he was being watch as he was just a few meters away from him.

I could easily jumped down and take his blood, He mused when suddenly the male's head snapped to look at him.

It must have been the mountain 's shadow that hides all the things belong to the dark and light. When the male approached closer, the darken skies made him more ethereal, almost a pale glow but the sunset dancing on his pale hair like fiery halo, made him alive. As if the very burning life was inside him and his eyes

'His eyes'- Barthelome took a sharp intake. It was like sunlight shone through stars contained in dark cognac.

Time stood still as both man remained staring at each other, before the another male broke he eye contact and rushed inside.

Discidium

In the still silence, you will hear whispering. If you stand very still and listen you will hear the woods calling for you. Never answer.

Run.

For there are things beyond your knowledge that lies asleep under there and begged that they never awake.

Above, he swore the universe was contained in those eyes. With eyes so dark and cold, ancient golden celestial bodies resides in them.
