My Mate Saved Me

Chapter 2

“Excuse me?” I gulped and I hadn’t realized that I actually did.

“Mine.”

“I’m yours?” I asked with such surprise in my voice I almost sounded horse.

“Yes, you’re mine.” He unbuckled his seatbelt and moved toward me and unbuckled mine. My heart started to race and I felt scared almost. I was afraid of what was about to happen. If he touched me it would be over, but I wouldn’t let him. I won’t allow myself to let him touch me.

“No, stop.” I say as he became to be so close to me our faces seem to just barely touch.

“No, what?” he stopped moving closer to me and there was a slight smile at the corner of his mouth that looked seductive in a way. God, his smile. No stop thinking about him! Stop thinking about how the way he looks and the way his smile tugs at my heart and makes me feel weak. I am not and will not fall in love. I especially will not fall in love with him; Mason Grey.

“Stop getting so close to me.” God, I sounded so weak. I hate sounding weak. All of my life I have been and this was my chance to show people that I’m not weak at all. I guess my plan is starting to fail.

“How come?” he started to move a little closer to me and I held my breath when he did. I could feel the heat coming off his body. I looked into his eyes and saw lust. He felt lust toward me? Why me?

“Because I said so. Can’t you just be nice enough and stop trying to get close to me and touch me?”

“I don’t want to be nice. I want to touch you, baby.”

“Well, that’s just too damn bad for you now-” I was caught off guard when I felt him pick me up from where I was sitting and placed me on top of his lap. I couldn’t breathe. I felt electricity run through my whole body. My body seemed to ache for him and for his touch only. My wolf inside was howling with pleasure but I couldn’t let him know how much I loved his touch when he wrapped his hands around the back of my knee. I couldn’t let him know that I wanted him to feel me all over. These were things I once wanted Chase to do to me but that never happened. I soon realized that maybe Chase and I never really were mates. Maybe it was something else instead.

“What were you going to say?” he pulled me closer into him and rubbed my thighs.

          I could have brought longer shorts but nooo I had to pick the slutty ones where there’s basically no fabric to them! He had no idea what he was doing to me and how it was driving me crazy inside. God, how I wanted more and so does my wolf. I know I want this isn’t what I can have. I can’t have him or have this; whatever this may be. My heart was racing as he rubbed his hands over my thighs and I let a moan slip through my teeth and I regretted letting it slip.  For so long I’ve wanted this to happen to me but I don’t know this guy. I don’t know who he is. He moved his face toward mine and leaned his head against the ape of my neck and started to smell my hair and then my skin. I felt chills running all up and down my body and I knew he was pleased by my reaction. I felt him smile against my skin a bit and thinking of his smile just made me shiver again.

“Um, we should really stop.”

“Why would we ever do that, babe? You know you want this. You want this just as much as I do. You love the way it feels when I touch you. You love how your skin burns when I no longer touch you, you love how I nuzzle into your neck and you know what will happen next. I know you know what will happen next.” He said in a more seductive tone. I turned my gaze to the roof of his truck. I wouldn’t dare look into those beautiful eyes because the moment I do I know I will turn into Jell-O.

“I do?”

“Yeah, baby. You love everything I’m doing to you right now but I know you’re craving for more.” He said lightly pressing his lips against my neck and kissing me. He was only playing me. He only wanted me for the sex. That’s all guys want these days and he won’t be getting anything from me. I’ll be gone before tomorrow morning. He’ll never see me again after tonight.
