Be a Wolfman

It starts out with coyotes

But coyotes turn into wolves

Wolves turn into saber-tooth tigers

And tigers have dance-like moves

Just as fast as the blustery north wind

Starts to kick up and blow

That toothy tiger's prowling; snarling and drooling

And trying to steal the show

The tiger shares her bed with an odd hairy man

With a fever and cloven brown hooves

Then out of the womb, cursed by the moon

Comes a cute little baby werewolf

And she sings...

I wanna be a Wolfman, Jack

Graduate at the top of my class

I gotta be a Wolfman, Jack

At the front of the werewolf pack

With my ass running bare, not avoiding the stares

Out the fire escape I'm off in the night

In a few more years I'll make it to the top

The place that all werewolves aspire

You ought to be a Wolfman, Jack

Graduate at the top of the class

You gotta be a Wolfman, Jack

Don't think about holding back

So when you choose to do something

Make sure to do it well

If you wanna be a werewolf, reach for the top

And howl like you're ringing a bell

You gotta be a Wolfman, Jack

Give it your all every day and night

When you get to be a Wolfman, Jack

Then you know you've got it right

Note to reader: to get the most out of this poem, feel free to do some howling at this point so that everyone nearby looks at you like you're crazy...
